He holds the record for the longest continuous period as the world number-one-ranked men's recurve archer, from August 2011 to April 2013. The Indian Men's recurve team consisting of Atanu Das, Dhiraj Bommadevara and Tushar Shelke won the silver medal at the 2022 Asian Games. They lost the final to Republic of Korea.
