Ortochile is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It is distributed in the Western Palaearctic realm, including Europe, Turkey, Israel and North Africa. Adults of Ortochile have greatly elongated mouthparts, longer than the height of the head. They are associated with flowers, and have been reported to feed on nectar and pollen. Flower-feeding is also known in some species of Hercostomus.

Chrysotus is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It is one of the largest genera in the subfamily Diaphorinae, with more than 460 species. However, the genus is probably paraphyletic, and possibly even polyphyletic, with respect to several related genera such as Achradocera, Falbouria and Lyroneurus.

The genus is distributed along coasts of the Western Pacific and Southeast Asia, and members of the genus are found in the intertidal zone. According to Grootaert and Evenhuis (2006), adults are active on beaches with small pebbles mixed with sandy patches.
