Argyripnus hulleyi, commonly known as Reunion's bristle-mouth fish, is a species of ray-finned fish in the genus Argyripnus found in Reunion. [1]
The fish is named in honor of Percy Alexander Hulley (b. 1941), the Curator of Fishes, at the Iziko South African Museum. [2]

He was a specialist in the anatomy, classification, and distribution of fishes, with a special interest in tropical marine shorefishes. This species is a resident of tide pools where it can be found at depths of from 0 to 2 metres. This species is the only known member of its genus. Its specific name honours Thomas H. Fraser of the Mote Marine Laboratory who collected the type.

Pandaka lidwilli, or the Lidwill's dwarf goby, is a species of goby found in brackish and salt water in the mouths of rivers and maritime zones in Japan, Australia, and Papua New Guinea. The specific name honours the Australian anesthesiologist and cardiologist Mark C. Lidwill (1878–1969), who was co-inventor of the pacemaker, as well as being a saltwater angler who, while fishing for game fish, observed this tiny goby and brought it to the attention of Allan Riverstone McCulloch who subsequently described it.

Phillip Clarence Heemstra was an American-South African ichthyologist. He was born in Melrose Park, Illinois, United States as the son of Clarence William Heemstra and his wife, Lydia. He attended school in Ottawa, Illinois, and completed a B.Sc. Zoology in 1963 at the University of Illinois at Urbana, Illinois, as well as his MSc degree (1968) and doctorate (1974) in marine biology at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He moved to live in South Africa in 1978.
Argyripnus brocki, commonly known as Brock's bristle-mouth fish, is a species of ray-finned fish in the genus Argyripnus found in the Pacific Ocean.
Nikolai Vasilyevich Parin was a Soviet and Russian ichthyologist, specializing in oceanic pelagic fish. He headed the Laboratory of Oceanic Ichthyofauna at the RAS Institute of Oceanology in Moscow, where he ended his career as a Professor after more than fifty-seven years. In his career, he described more than 150 new taxa of fish and participated in 20 major oceanic expeditions. Thirty-six species of fish are named in his honour.
Prognathodes guezei, or Gueze's butterflyfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a butterflyfish belonging to the family Chaetodontidae. It is found in the Western Indian Ocean, from Réunion Island, and Mauritius to the Comoros Islands. This species reaches a length of 11.0 cm (4.3 in).
