Aric Yegudkin is an Australian choreographer and professional dancer born on 14 November 1985. Yegudkin is best known as a professional dancer on the Australian Dancing with the Stars.
Yegudkin started taking ballroom dance lessons at 8 years old after his parents noticed him dancing to Michael Jackson songs. They chose ballroom for their son because they were Russian as was the local ballroom dance teacher. [1] Yegudkin competed as a Latin American dancer in dancesport competitions. [2] In July 2001, Yegudkin partnered with Masha Belash, and the two began competing together in the youth category of dancesport. [2] Together the pair won the Australian National Youth Latin American Championship three times. [2] [3]
Yegudkin is an accredited Dancesport Australia instructor. [2] He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. [2]
Yegudkin first competed as a professional dancer Australian Dancing With the Stars in season 3. He won his first season of the reality dance competition with celebrity partner Ada Nicodemou. [1] After winning their season of Dancing with the Stars, Nicodemou and Yegudkin competed against past winners Tom Williams and Kym Johnson in a special televised competition. Both couples performed three dances over two weeks for the panel of judges. Nicodemou and Yegudkin won the competition and were given the "Champion of Champions" trophy. [4] Yegudkin's other past Dancing With the Stars partners include Haley Bracken, Zoe Cramond, Rhiannon Fish and April Rose Pengilly. [1] For the fifteenth season of Dancing with the Stars, Yegudkin was partnered with presenter Emma Freedman in which they won on 7 September 2015. [5] In October 2016 Channel Seven announced Dancing with the Stars would not return, making Freedman and Yegudkin the final winners of the series on Seven Network. [6] [7] After Network Ten revived the show in 2019, Yegudkin returned partnering Michelle Bridges in season sixteen and then Claudia Karvan in season seventeen. [8] [9]

Outside of television, Yegudkin has served as a choreographer and dancer in the Australian touring stage show Shake, Rattle 'n'Roll. [1] Yegudkin has also performed in productions of Burn the Floor and Dance, Dance, Dance. [1] In January 2017, Yegudkin and Belash announced they would be opening a dance studio in Sydney called Move by Aric and Masha. [7]
Yegudkin proposed to his professional dance partner Masha Belash in 2013. Yegudkin and Belash married in October 2018. Their wedding was featured in Vogue Australia the following April. [10] The couple are parents to twin daughters born in 2020. [11]
Ada Nicodemou is an Australian actress of Greek Cypriot descent. She began her acting career in 1994 in TV serial Heartbreak High as Katerina Ioannou. She also starred in Police Rescue and Breakers.
Paul Killick is a British professional ballroom dancer and an International Latin American Dance Champion. He appeared in the first two series of the television show Strictly Come Dancing. Killick specialize in Latin dance and has won The World Cup, World Trophy, World Masters, World Series, Universal and British Professional Latin American DanceSport Championships.
Dancing with the Stars is an Australian light entertainment reality show which originally aired on the Seven Network from 2004 to 2015 and on Network 10 from 2019 to 2020. Kym Herjavec is an Australian professional ballroom dancer and television performer who appeared in the first three seasons of the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars as a professional dancer, before moving to the U.S. version of the franchise from 2006 to 2015. Johnson returned as a professional to the U.S. series in 2017 for its 24th season. She also served as a judge on the Australian version of the show from 2013 to 2015. She is married to Robert Herjavec.
Nick Kosovich is a professional ballroom dancer specializing in American Smooth and International Ten Dance. Kosovich resides in Los Angeles. He is currently appearing in the "Second Dance World Championship" in Mexico City for the "Televisa" Company. He is the representing Judge for team USA. He retired from competition dancing in 2005, however he has achieved many awards in his career. An internationally respected figure in the Ballroom world, Kosovich competed for 36 years. He competed in seven Professional World Championship events, won the United States American Smooth Championships and finished second in the 2004/5 World Classic Showdance Championships.
Karina Smirnoff is a Soviet-born American professional ballroom dancer of Ukrainian origins. She is known as a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars, where she won the thirteenth season with army veteran and soap opera star J. R. Martinez. She has also won two runner-up titles, a semifinal title, and several quarterfinal titles.
Mark Wilson is an Australian professional ballroom dancer and former dance teacher. He is a television personality, best known for being an original judge on the reality TV show – Dancing with the Stars appearing for the first ten seasons. In 2021, he returned as a judge with other former original judges Paul Mercurio, Todd McKenney and Helen Richey, along with original host Daryl Somers.

It was the only season to be hosted by Shane Bourne, following the decision of former host Daniel MacPherson to not return. Edwina Bartholomew returned as co-host. Kym Johnson, Todd McKenney, and Helen Richey returned as judges,. while Adam Garcia did not return due to his wife's pregnancy. Bruno Tonioli appeared as a guest judge during the first three weeks of the competition.
