Rhiannon Fish (born 14 March 1991) is a Canadian-born Australian actress. Her first screen acting role was Lisa Jeffries in the television soap opera Neighbours . She starred as Rocky in the Disney Channel show As the Bell Rings and as Laura in Playing for Charlie. From 2010 until 2013, she played April Scott on Home and Away . Fish took part in season 13 of Dancing with the Stars , and she joined the recurring cast of The 100 as Ontari in 2016.

Early and personal life

Fish was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Her family relocated to Melbourne when she was four years old. [1] Her father was transferred to Russia for work when she was 12, but decided to keep the family in Australia. [2] Fish attended the Camberwell Girls Grammar School and the Children's Performing Company of Australia, which she graduated from in 2008. [3] [4] Fish decided to pursue an acting career when she was eleven years old. [1] Her older sister, Corinne, died in July 2014. [5]

Career

Fish first appeared on television at the age of eleven when she starred in Neighbours as Lisa Jeffries. [6] [7] She was later cast as Rocky in the Australian Disney Channel show As the Bell Rings . [8] Fish had a guest role in Satisfaction and starred in the feature film Playing for Charlie in 2008. [1] [9] Fish received the role of April Scott in Home and Away in 2010. [10] For her portrayal of April, Fish was included on the long list for the Most Popular New Talent Logie Award in 2011. [11]

In 2012, Fish appeared in the music video for Mastin's single "Shout It Out". [12] After departing Home and Away in 2013, Fish participated in the 13th series of Dancing with the Stars , reaching second place behind Cosentino. [13] In November 2015, Fish joined the cast of The 100 in the recurring role of Ontari. [14] Fish appears in the 2018 sci-fi action film Occupation , alongside her former Home and Away co-star Dan Ewing. [15] Fish appears in the 2021 Hallmark television film Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Vows We Have Made , alongside Eric Mabius and Kristin Booth. [16]

In 2022, Fish filmed the lead role in Adrian Powers and Caera Bradshaw's A Royal In Paradise, in which she plays a struggling romance writer who meets and falls in love with a prince (played by Mitchell Bourke) during a tropical getaway. The film was shot in Queensland. [17] Fish also signed on to star in Jo-Anne Brechin's romantic film When Love Springs, alongside James O'Halloran. [18] In October 2023, Fish began filming romantic comedy He Loves Me Not opposite Lincoln Lewis in K'gari (Fraser Island) and Hervey Bay, Queensland. [19]

April Scott (<i>Home and Away</i>) Soap opera character

April Scott is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Home and Away, played by Rhiannon Fish. The actress successfully auditioned for the role of April and she described the process as quick. Fish's role in the soap was announced in May 2010 and she made her first on screen appearance as April on 15 June 2010. In April 2013, it was announced that Fish had decided to leave Home and Away and April departed on 13 November 2013.

It was released digitally on 29 June 2012, as the second single from the album. The song was written by Mastin and production duo DNA, who also produced it. "Shout It Out" peaked at number one in Australia and number eight in New Zealand. It was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), denoting sales of 70,000 copies. The accompanying music video features a cameo appearance by Home and Away actress Rhiannon Fish, who plays Mastin's love interest.

Bonnie Sveen is an Australian actress. She began her acting career at the Huon Valley Theatre Company, before attending the National Institute of Dramatic Art. In 2010, Sveen starred in the multi-story drama film Before the Rain and made a guest appearance in the soap opera Home and Away. In 2013, Sveen appeared as the freed slave Chadara in Spartacus: Vengeance. Sveen also joined the main cast of Home and Away as Ricky Sharpe. For her portrayal of Ricky, Sveen won the Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent. Sveen appeared as Ricky in the 2015 spin-off Home and Away: An Eye for an Eye. The following year, she announced her departure from Home and Away, after she was cast in the Seven Network drama The Secret Daughter, alongside Jessica Mauboy.
