Alana Louise Patience (born 21 November 1980) is an Australian ballroom dancer [1] and twice winner of Channel 7's Dancing with the Stars .

Career

Patience studied acting at the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art (AADA), now known as the Australian Institute of Music – Dramatic Arts (AIMDA); however, she would take a break when she joined the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars , but she later returned and graduated in 2005.[ citation needed ]

In 2010, Alana—together with Better Homes and Gardens carpenter Rob Palmer—won season 10 of Dancing with the Stars, and she won again in 2011 with Celebrity chef Manu Feildel. [2] [3] Alana has also danced with music journalist Molly Meldrum, Tom Waterhouse, ex-Collingwood footballer Brodie Holland, and radio personality Brendan Jones. Patience was announced as part of the cast for the fourteenth season of Dancing with the Stars, but her assigned partner, comedian Paul Fenech, dropped out of the show before the season began (due to an arrest). [4]

Alana's ballroom career has spanned over 20 years, and her titles include two-time Australian and South Pacific Youth Latin Champion as well as Australian Representative to the World Youth Latin Championships. Alana has performed in the Australian ballroom hit show Burn the Floor, touring the United States, China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand and Australia in both 2001 and 2007. In 2009, Alana moved to The Netherlands to join the international cast of the sold-out 18-month season of the musical version of Dirty Dancing .

In 2012, Alana opened the only Vera Wang bridal boutique in Australia as the boutique manager, located at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sydney. [5] Alana also performs throughout Australia with her dance partner Carmelo Pizzino at various corporate, charity, and dance events.

Manu Feildel

Emmanuel Feildel is a French-Australian chef, restaurateur and television presenter trained in England, who is best known as one of the judges of the competitive cooking show My Kitchen Rules.

The tenth season of Dancing with the Stars was announced in the May edition of New Idea magazine. It debuted on 27 June 2010 and ended on 29 August 2010.

The eleventh season of Dancing with the Stars premiered on Sunday 8 May 2011 at 6:30 pm on Channel Seven. Daniel MacPherson and Sonia Kruger returned as hosts, along with judges Todd McKenney and Helen Richey. Australian dancer Joshua Horner joined the judging panel as a replacement for Mark Wilson. My Kitchen Rules presenter Manu Feildel and his partner, Alana Patience, won the competition over model Haley Bracken. Alana is the first professional to win the competition twice, having won the prior season with Rob Palmer.

Tristan MacManus is an Irish television presenter and dancer. He best known for his professional appearances on Dancing with the Stars, Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing with the Stars Australia. In 2017, he went on tour with Mrs Brown's Boys for the Good Mourning Mrs Brown Live 2017 playing Elder Peach. Since 2019, he has been a judge on the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars, along with Craig Revel Horwood and Sharna Burgess. He is currently based in Australia and presents the morning show Studio 10, alongside Sarah Harris on Network 10.

Peta Murgatroyd New Zealand-born American professional Latin dancer

Peta Jane Murgatroyd is a New Zealand-born Australian professional Latin dancer. She performed in the international tour of the dance production Burn the Floor, including its Broadway run. She is best known for her appearances on the American edition of Dancing with the Stars, which she and her partners have won twice.

The twelfth season of Dancing with the Stars premiered on 15 April 2012, at the 6:30pm time slot on Channel Seven. With previous co-host Sonia Kruger defecting to Channel Nine, former Spice Girl and American Dancing with the Stars season 5 runner up Mel B was hired as her replacement. Daniel MacPherson continues his role as main host of the show, along with judges Todd McKenney, Helen Richey, and Joshua Horner.

Sharna May Burgess is an Australian ballroom dancer who is best known for being a professional partner and troupe member on the ABC series Dancing with the Stars. She is the winner of season 27 of American television show Dancing with the Stars with her celebrity partner Bobby Bones, where she has also been a runner-up in several other seasons. She has also been a judge on the Australian version of the show since 2019, along with Craig Revel Horwood and Tristan MacManus.

The fourteenth season of Dancing with the Stars premiered on 30 September 2014. Daniel McPherson had returned to host the season, alongside Edwina Bartholomew. Todd McKenney and Helen Richey returned as judges, alongside Kym Johnson and Adam Garcia. The show received significant promotion using Nathaniel Willemse's song "Live Louder" in the use of its television commercials throughout early September. AFL player David Rodan won the competition with his pro dancer, Melanie Hooper.

Aric Yegudkin is an Australian choreographer and professional dancer born on 14 November 1985. Yegudkin is best known as a professional dancer on the Australian Dancing with the Stars.

Jessica Raffa is an Australian ballroom dancer known for appearing on Australia's Dancing with the Stars. She won Series 13 of the televised dance competition with celebrity partner Cosentino. Before competing on Dancing with the Stars, Raffa toured with the dance show Burn the Floor.

Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy is an American Latin and ballroom dancer and choreographer. She first gained attention in 2013, as she finished ladies' third runner-up on So You Think You Can Dance season 10. Johnson continued her professional dancing career on Dancing with the Stars, winning her second season with her partner, Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon.

Haley Bracken

Haley Bracken is an Australian model and television personality. She is married to former cricketer Nathan Bracken. She and her husband competed against each other on Australia's Dancing with the Stars, where Haley and partner Aric Yegudkin finished second.

Jade Hatcher is an Australian dancer. She competed as a professional dancer on multiple seasons of Australia's Dancing with the Stars, winning in 2009. In 2017, she opened her own dance studio, Hatcher Dance.
