The twenty-first season of the Australian Dancing with the Stars will start during 2024 on Seven.

Contents

Dr. Chris Brown replaced Daryl Somers who left the series after hosting the last 3 seasons. Sonia Kruger will also return as the host. [1] Craig Revel Horwood, Sharna Burgess, and Mark Wilson will be returning while Helen Richey who took off last season will be back to the judging panel with Todd McKenney not joining this season due to a scheduling conflict. [2]

Couples

The season will feature 12 couples.

On 3 February 2024, Ben Cousins was announced as the first celebrity participant. [3] The rest of the celebrities were announced on 18 February 2024. [4]

Idol Gives Back was the name of a charitable campaign that spanned two episodes of American Idol during its sixth season. A second Idol Gives Back concert and fundraiser occurred on April 9, 2008, during the seventh season of the show. Idol Gives Back was not held in 2009 due to the economic crisis and recession. The executive producer released a statement saying that it was not the time to be asking for money from the American public. However, the fundraiser returned on April 21, 2010, during the top 7 results show of season 9. It did not return in future seasons.

From 2007 to 2016, Hough was a professional dancer on the ABC dance competition series Dancing with the Stars, winning the show a record-breaking six times with his celebrity partners. For his work, Hough received 14 nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography, winning the award 4 times. Hough later became a judge on the series beginning with its 29th season.

The seventh season of the Australian Dancing with the Stars debuted on 25 September 2007. Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger returned as hosts, although this was the last season to be hosted by Somers. Todd McKenney, Paul Mercurio, Helen Richey, and Mark Wilson also returned as judges, and this would also be Mercurio's last season.

Akai Osei is a British actor, dancer, presenter and musician, who is best known for winning the first series of Got to Dance in February 2010. It is reported that he was inspired by Michael Jackson, Diversity, Flawless and Chris Brown. Akai joined the acting scene shortly after winning Got to Dance. He appears in the film StreetDance 3D alongside Diversity, George Sampson and Flawless, and its sequel, StreetDance 2.
