The sixteenth season of the Australian Dancing with the Stars premiered on 18 February 2019. [1] [2] Due to Network 10 having obtained the rights for the series, an overhaul to the cast and crew occurred. Grant Denyer and Amanda Keller were announced as the new co-hosts, [1] [2] while Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood and professional dancers Sharna Burgess and Tristan MacManus were announced as the judges. Couples

This season featured eleven celebrity contestants. Network 10 revealed the first three celebrities participating in Dancing With the Stars to be Samuel Johnson, Curtly Ambrose & Cassandra Thorburn on 23 January 2019. [4] All of the remaining celebrities were announced on 30 January 2019. [1] [2]

On April 8, 2019, it was announced a few hours before the show that Jimmy Rees had voluntarily withdrawn from the competition for personal reasons. As a result, there was no additional elimination.

After a three-week absence recovering from a back injury, Grant Denyer returned as co-host.

In the first round, the couples performed an 'encore dance' which is their favourite dance of the season. In the second round, they performed a freestyle routine.

The show also included a 'special guest' appearance by Australian singer and songwriter Conrad Sewell, who sang his songs Love Me Anyway & Healing Hands before the winner of the show was announced.

    Dancing with the Stars is an Australian light entertainment reality show which originally aired on the Seven Network from 2004 to 2015 and on Network 10 from 2019 to 2020. When it was on the Seven Network, it was broadcast live from the HSV-7 studios in Melbourne; on Network 10 it aired live from Fox Studios Australia in Sydney and Docklands Studios in Melbourne.

    Strictly Come Dancing returned for its sixth series on 20 September 2008 on BBC One. Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly returned as co-presenters of the main show on BBC One, while Claudia Winkleman returned to present the spin-off show Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on BBC Two. Len Goodman, Arlene Phillips, Craig Revel Horwood, and Bruno Tonioli returned as judges.

    The eighth season of the Australian Dancing with the Stars debuted on 31 August 2008. Actor Daniel MacPherson replaced Daryl Somers as host, while Sonia Kruger returned as co-host. Todd McKenney, Helen Richey, and Mark Wilson returned as judges. Paul Mercurio did not return and was not replaced.

    The eleventh season of the Australian Dancing with the Stars premiered on 8 May 2011 on Channel Seven. Daniel MacPherson and Sonia Kruger returned as hosts, along with judges Todd McKenney and Helen Richey. Australian dancer Joshua Horner joined the judging panel as a replacement for Mark Wilson.

    Season thirteen of Dancing with the Stars premiered on September 19, 2011, on the ABC network.

    The thirteenth season of Dancing with the Stars Australia premiered live on 1 October 2013. Daniel MacPherson continued his role as main host of the show on Channel Seven. However, Melanie Brown had announced she wouldn't be returning for her second season as co-host, in order to pursue a judging role on America's Got Talent. Sunrise weather presenter, Edwina Bartholomew permanently replaced Brown for this season.

    Season twenty of Dancing with the Stars premiered on March 16, 2015, and concluded on May 19, 2015.

    The fifteenth season of the Australian Dancing with the Stars premiered on the Seven Network on 19 July 2015. It was the only season to be hosted by Shane Bourne, following the decision of former host Daniel MacPherson to not return. Edwina Bartholomew returned as co-host. Kym Johnson, Todd McKenney, and Helen Richey returned as judges,. while Adam Garcia did not return due to his wife's pregnancy. Bruno Tonioli appeared as a guest judge during the first three weeks of the competition.

    Strictly Come Dancing returned for its fourteenth series with a launch show on 3 September on BBC One, while the live shows began on 23 September 2016. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman returned as hosts, while Zoe Ball returned to host Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on BBC Two.
