Arietta is a hamlet located in the Town of Arietta in Hamilton County, New York, United States.
Hamilton County is a county in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2020 census, the population was 5,107, making it the least populous county in New York. With an area nearly the size of Delaware, it is the least densely populated county east of the Mississippi River. Its county seat is Lake Pleasant. The county was created in 1816 and organized in 1847.
Arietta is a town in Hamilton County, New York, United States. The population was 304 at the 2010 census. The town was named after the mother of one of the first settlers, Rensselaer Van Rennslaer.
The Spectator was a daily publication founded by Joseph Addison and Richard Steele in England, lasting from 1711 to 1712. Each "paper", or "number", was approximately 2,500 words long, and the original run consisted of 555 numbers, beginning on 1 March 1711. These were collected into seven volumes. The paper was revived without the involvement of Steele in 1714, appearing thrice weekly for six months, and these papers when collected formed the eighth volume. Eustace Budgell, a cousin of Addison's, and the poet John Hughes also contributed to the publication.

A Hand of Bridge, opus 35, is an opera in one act composed by Samuel Barber with libretto by Gian Carlo Menotti, and is possibly the shortest opera that is regularly performed: it lasts about nine minutes. It premiered as a part of Menotti's Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto on 17 June 1959 at the Teatro Caio Melisso. The United States premiere occurred the next year. The opera consists of two unhappily married couples playing a hand of bridge, during which each character has an arietta in which he or she professes his or her inner desires.
Piseco is a small community in the town of Arietta in Hamilton County, New York, United States. The name "Piseco" is that of a Native American known to an early surveyor. Located in the heart of the Adirondacks, the hamlet is home to Piseco Lake and Piseco Airport. The Northville–Placid Trail runs close to Piseco Lake and the airport. The village of Speculator lies 10 miles (16 km) east of Piseco Lake.
East Canada Creek is a 34.6-mile-long (55.7 km) river in upstate New York, United States. It is a tributary of the Mohawk River and flows southward from New York's Adirondack Park. The name "Canada" may be derived from the St. Lawrence Iroquoian word Kanata, meaning "village"; the name may also refer to the creek's importance as a trail to Canada in colonial times.

The airport is owned by the Town of Arietta. It is categorized as a general aviation facility in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009–2013.
The Cedar River is a 38.5-mile-long (62.0 km) river in the central Adirondacks, in Hamilton County, New York. It rises at the outlet of Cedar Lake in the Town of Arietta and flows northeast into the Town of Lake Pleasant, where it passes through the Cedar River Flow. Continuing northeast and east, it passes through the Town of Indian Lake and remote corners of the Towns of Minerva and Newcomb to join the Hudson River northeast of the hamlet of Indian Lake. The Northville-Placid Trail goes past the Cedar Lakes and along the Cedar River to the flow.

Higgins Bay is located on the southern shore of Piseco Lake, located on a small bay in the lake, also called Higgins Bay. It is on NY-8, north of the junction of Routes NY-8 and NY-10.
Powley Place is a hamlet located in the Town of Arietta in Hamilton County, New York.
Tomany Mountain is a 2,589-foot-tall (789 m) mountain in the Adirondack Mountains region of New York. It is located northwest of Arietta in Hamilton County. In 1912, the Conservation Commission built a wooden fire observation tower on the mountain. In 1916, wooden tower was replaced with a 50-foot-tall Aermotor LL25 tower. The tower was closed at the end of the 1970 fire watching season, and later dismantled.
