Arikan (Persian : اريكان‎, also Romanized as Ārīkān)^[1] is a village in Hayaquq-e Nabi Rural District, in the Central District of Tuyserkan County, Hamadan Province, Iran. At the 2015 census, its population was 560, in 132 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Hayaquq-e Nabi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Tuyserkan County, Hamadan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 15,699, in 4,139 families. The rural district has 22 villages.

The District has two cities: Tuyserkan and Sarkan. The District has four rural districts (dehestan): Hayaquq-e Nabi Rural District, Khorram Rud Rural District, Korzan Rud Rural District, and Seyyed Shahab Rural District.
