Arte S is a residential complex within George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. Located at the neighbourhood of Bukit Gambir, the complex consists of two residential towers, Tower A and Tower B.
Tower A, with 35 stories, has a height of 121.4 m (398 ft). On the other hand, with 51 stories and a height of 186 m (610 ft), [3] Tower B of the complex is the tallest skyscraper within Gelugor, as well as one of the tallest in George Town. [4] [5]
Both towers contain a total of 480 residential units, with areas ranging from 584 to 5,560 sq ft (54.3 to 516.5 m2). A notable sight are two pod-like structures named "PODs", each 4-stories tall in height. They occupy the sky-garden of the 35th to the 39th floor of Tower B. Meant for recreational and entertainment purposes, it could accommodate up to 60 people at once. [6] The building has a gross-floor-area of 780,384 sq ft (72,500.0 m2), with 3 underground floors.
Development started in 2013 by Nusmetro (later named as Arte Corp), a Malaysian property and development firm. The design of the structure was undertaken by SPARK, an architectural firm based in London, Shanghai and Singapore. [4] Construction started in 2015, with a scheduled completion date of October 2017. [7] The structure later topped-out in 2017, before full completion in May 2018. [3] [2]
The building has been notable for its unusual look among locals, with "rotating-fin-geometries", creating unique observation angles on each floor. [7] The design was inspired by the geography of Penang Island, with the towers sitting between the island's undulating hills and the Penang Strait nearby. The design was praised as being innovative among critics, in which Nusmetro won the "Best Apartment of the Year" award in the 13th Kinpan Awards for this project. [4]
The Jin Mao Tower, also known as the Jinmao Building or Jinmao Tower, is a 420.5-meter-tall (1,380 ft), 88-story landmark skyscraper in Lujiazui, Pudong, Shanghai, China. It contains a shopping mall, offices and the Grand Hyatt Shanghai hotel which starts from the 53rd floor, which at the time of completion was the highest hotel in the world. Along with the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Shanghai World Financial Center and the Shanghai Tower it is part of the Lujiazui skyline seen from the Bund. It was the tallest building in China from its completion in 1999 until 2007, when it was surpassed by the Shanghai World Financial Center which is located close by. The Shanghai Tower, a 128-story building located next to these two buildings, surpassed the height of both these buildings in 2015, creating the world's first trio of adjacent supertall skyscrapers.
The Tun Abdul Razak Complex, colloquially known by its Malay acronym KOMTAR, formerly known as the Penang New Urban Center and the Central Area Redevelopment Plan for Penang, is a complex located in the city of George Town, Penang, Malaysia. The complex comprises retail outlets, a transportation hub, and a skyscraper, containing the administrative offices of the Penang state government. It was named after Abdul Razak Hussein, the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, who officiated the construction of the complex. The tower is the twenty-first tallest building in Malaysia, behind the MAS Annex in Kuala Lumpur. Upon topping out, the Komtar Tower was the tallest skyscraper in Southeast Asia, a position it held briefly until it was surpassed by Singapore's One Raffles Place in 1986.
Republic Center is a mixed-use complex at 300 N. Ervay Street and 325 N. St. Paul Street in the City Center District of downtown Dallas, Texas (USA), adjacent to Thanks-giving Square. The complex is located diagonally across the street from DART's St. Paul Station, which serves its Blue, Red, Orange, and Green light rail lines. It also contains part of the Dallas Pedestrian Network, with shops and restaurants in the lower levels of the building and is connected to the Bullington Truck Terminal.
181 Fremont is an 803-foot (245 m) mixed-use skyscraper in the South of Market District of San Francisco, California. The building, designed by Heller Manus Architects, is located adjacent to the Transbay Transit Center and 199 Fremont Street developments. 181 Fremont is owned and operated by Jay Paul Company. Jay Paul Company was the sole owner and developer of the project. The entire office portion of the building was leased to Facebook to house its San Francisco office and Instagram division.

At completion in 2019, the structure building became the third-tallest building in Calgary behind Brookfield Place East and The Bow. As of July 2020, Telus Sky is the 18th tallest building in Canada, though several buildings in Toronto exceeding its height are under construction including The One.
Gevora Hotel is a 1,168 ft (356 m) tall hotel along Sheikh Zayed Road in the city Dubai, UAE. That height has given the skyscraper the title of tallest hotel building according to Guinness World Records. The four-star hotel opened in February 2018 after a construction period of twelve years. It has 528 rooms spread over 75 floors and a number of facilities including restaurants and a pool on top of its parking garage building.
Gurney Paragon is a residential and retail complex within George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. Situated at the city's prime address of Gurney Drive, it was launched in 2013, and consists of a nine-storey shopping mall, two condominiums and an office block. Setia V Residences is a residential complex within George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. Located at the city's prime address of Gurney Drive, it consists of a pair of skyscrapers, Tower A and Tower B, with 48 and 32 stories respectively. Tower B has an estimated height of 120.83 m (396.4 ft). Tower A, with a height of 181.24 m (594.6 ft), was the tallest residential skyscraper in Penang; and as of 2021, remains as one of the tallest skyscrapers in George Town.
Omniturm is a skyscraper in Frankfurt, Germany. It was built by the U.S. real estate company Tishman Speyer Properties from early 2016, and was completed in 2019. The building reaches a height of 190 metres (620 ft), making it the sixth-tallest building in Frankfurt and in Germany upon completion. The name is an allusion to the usage of the building, including both residential and office space.
