Asemoplus montanus, the Montana grasshopper, is a species of spur-throated grasshopper in the family Acrididae. [1] [2] [3] [4] It is found in North America. [1] [5]
The Melanoplinae are a subfamily of grasshoppers in the family Acrididae. They are distributed across the Holarctic and Neotropic ecozones.
The Acrididae are the predominant family of grasshoppers, comprising some 10,000 of the 11,000 species of the entire suborder Caelifera. The Acrididae are best known because all locusts are of the Acrididae. The subfamily Oedipodinae is sometimes classified as a distinct family Oedipodidae in the superfamily Acridoidea. Acrididae grasshoppers are characterized by relatively short and stout antennae, and tympana on the side of the first abdominal segment.

Melanoplus infantilis, known generally as the little spur-throat grasshopper or tiny spur-throat grasshopper, is a species of spur-throated grasshopper in the family Acrididae. It is found in North America.
Conalcaea is a genus of spur-throated grasshoppers in the family Acrididae. There are at least three described species in Conalcaea.

Pseudochorthippus is a genus of grasshoppers in the tribe Gomphocerini. Insects including the 'meadow grasshopper' were previously placed in the genus Chorthippus, but are now placed here in species group parallelus(Zetterstedt, 1821).
