The Asia Talent Cup is a motorcycle road racing competition intended for young riders in Asia and Oceania. Organized by Dorna Sports, the promoter of the international Grand Prix motorcycle racing and Superbike World Championship series, [1] the ATC had its inaugural season in 2014 after being founded the year prior. The championship has run under the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup moniker with sponsorship from Idemitsu since the 2017 season, having previously been contracted with Shell Advance between 2014 and 2016. [2] Alberto Puig has served as Director of the Asia Talent Cup since its inception in 2014. [3]

Ai Ogura and Somkiat Chantra are due to become the first Asia Talent Cup graduates to debut in the top-flight MotoGP World Championship when the season begins in March 2025. [4]

Motorcycle specifications

The series uses the One Make Bike system so that all racers will use the same motorcycle, namely the Honda NSF250R.

The 2023 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup was the ninth running of the Asia Talent Cup, a motorcycle racing series organized by Dorna and sponsored by Idemitsu which is intended for young riders throughout Asia and Oceania. The season features six rounds at circuits in Asia, with all but the first round being held as support races for the MotoGP World Championship. The season commenced at Sepang on 18 August, and is scheduled to conclude at Losail on 19 November.

The 2024 FIM Moto2 World Championship is a part of the 76th FIM Road Racing World Championship season. Ai Ogura won the championship with two races to spare in the Thailand Grand Prix.

Haruki Noguchi was a Japanese motorcycle racer riding for SDG Honda Racing. Noguchi was a member of MuSASHi RT HARC-PRO. He competed in the All Japan Road Race Championship in 2017 and 2018, placing second in the Asia Talent Cup standings, and in 2019, placing third in the Red Bull Rookies Cup standings. He died at age 22 after suffering fatal injuries during a road race in Indonesia.

The 2015 Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup was the second season of the Asia Talent Cup, a motorcycle racing series organized by Dorna and sponsored by Shell Advance which is intended for young riders throughout Asia and Oceania. The season featured six rounds held at circuits in Asia, with three rounds held in support of the MotoGP World Championship and two rounds in support of the Superbike World Championship. The season commenced at Chang on 20 March, and concluded at Sepang on 23 October.
