Aspergillus albertensis is a species of fungus in the genus Aspergillus . It is from the Flavi section. [2] The species was first described in 1985. [1] It was isolated from a human ear in Canada. [2] A. albertensis has been shown to produce ochratoxin A and B. [2] It forms yellow spores. [3]
A. albertensis has been cultivated on both Czapek yeast extract agar (CYA) plates and Malt Extract Agar Oxoid® (MEAOX) plates. The growth morphology of the colonies can be seen in the pictures below.
