Athletics competitions at the 2024 Bolivarian Games in Ayacucho, Peru were held on 29 November and 1 December 2024. [1] With this edition being the special Bicentennial one, only three events were contested, two cross country races and a half marathon relay.

The Colombia national football team, nicknamed Los Cafeteros, represents Colombia in men's international football and is managed by the Colombian Football Federation, the governing body for football in Colombia. They are a member of CONMEBOL and are currently ranked 10th in the FIFA World Rankings. The team are nicknamed Los Cafeteros due to the coffee production in their country. The national team has been a symbol of nationalism, pride and passion for many Colombians worldwide. The Copa Merconorte 2001 was the fourth and final edition of association football tournament Copa Merconorte held in 2001. Millonarios of Colombia defeated Emelec of Ecuador in the final. It was the first edition to include teams invited from the United States, the Kansas City Wizards and NY/NJ MetroStars. Several fixtures for the MetroStars were cancelled following the September 11 attacks.

The Colombian Air Force is the aerospace force of the Republic of Colombia. It is one of the largest air forces in the Americas and has increased its activity due to important roles in the fight against narco-terrorism. The Colombia national rugby union team is classified as a tier three nation by World Rugby. They have thus far not qualified for a Rugby World Cup, but have participated in qualifying tournaments. Peru participated in the World Cup during the first World Cup in 1930 and has participated in qualifiers since 1958.

The Sudamérica Rugby Women's Sevens, is the regional championship for women's international rugby sevens in South America. It has been contested since 2004. The tournament is held over two days, typically on a weekend. It is sanctioned and sponsored by Sudamérica Rugby.
