Bilateral relations exist between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Ecuador in the political, socio-economic, cultural and other spheres.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Ecuador were established on March 22, 2004. [1]

In November 2010, Azerbaijan's permanent representative to the UN, Agshin Mehdiyev, paid an official visit to Ecuador. [3]
In October 2011, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration of Ecuador, Riccardo Panigno Armando Arocan, paid an official visit to Baku. The Minister met with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. [4] At the end of the meeting, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries signed an agreement of intent on cooperation. [5]
During the official visit of the Foreign Minister of Ecuador Maria Fernanda Espinosa to Baku in April 2018 to participate in the conference of Ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement, there were negotiations held with Ilham Aliyev. An agreement on cooperation in the energy sector was reached. [6] [7]
In May 2019, Elkhan Polukhov paid a working visit to Ecuador. The Ambassador met with the president of the committee on sovereignty, integration, foreign policy and internal security of the National Assembly of Ecuador, Fernando Flores Vazquez. Prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed. [8]
In 2009, a delegation of Ecuadorian entrepreneurs arrived in Baku. They discussed the production and export of special equipment for cold storage, banana gassing, and flower growing technologies. [9]
According to statistics from the UN Trade Office (COMTRADE), in 2014, the volume of exports of machinery and mechanical devices from Azerbaijan amounted to 1.68 thousand US dollars.

Cooperation is carried out in such areas as transport and transit of goods, tourism, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, science and high technologies, education, military equipment, etc.
Azerbaijan–Pakistan relations refer to bilaterial relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Pakistan has an embassy in Baku and Azerbaijan has an embassy in Islamabad. Both countries are enhancing contact between their respective capitals. The two nations are considered "strategic partners".
Bilateral relations exist between Azerbaijan and Brazil.
The diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Portugal were established in 1992 after Portugal recognized the independence of Azerbaijan.
The diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Montenegro established in 2008 after Azerbaijan recognized the independence of Montenegro. Azerbaijan has a Diplomatic Office in Podgorica. Montenegro has an embassy in Baku.
Azerbaijan–Kenya relations refer to bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kenya. Kenya has a non resident ambassador in Tehran. The first and current resident Azerbaijani ambassador to Kenya is Sultan Hajiyev.

Australia–Azerbaijan relations refer to bilateral relations between Australia and Azerbaijan. Cooperation is carried out in such areas as construction, tourism, agriculture, finances, investment, media, extractive industry, aerospace, ICT, oil and gas, etc. The building of the diplomatic mission of Australia in Azerbaijan is located in Ankara. Australia's Extraordinary Ambassador to Azerbaijan is Mark Innes-Brown.
