Bagoinae is a weevil subfamily in the family Curculionidae. It is sometimes classified in Molytinae.
Bagous – Hydronomidius – Hydronoplus – Neoephimeropus – Picia – Pnigodes – Pseudobagous – Sclerolophus
The family Pythidae is a small group of tenebrionoid beetles with no vernacular common name, though recent authors have coined the name dead log bark beetles. There are seven genera, which are largely native to the mid-high latitude regions of the Northern Hemisphere and Australia, with one genus also present in the tropical Americas. The larvae are generally found with decaying vegetation and wood on which they feed, while adults are not associated with the larvae and are generally caught using malaise traps and light traps.
Corylophidae is a family of minute hooded beetles, sometimes called minute fungus beetles, in the superfamily Coccinelloidea. There are about 18 genera and at least 120 described species in Corylophidae. They feed on microfungi such as molds, and are often found associated with bark, as well as in leaf litter and other decaying vegetation. In older literature, the family name was often given as Orthoperidae.
Callirhipidae is a family of beetles, found widely throughout low-latitude regions except tropical Africa and Madagascar. There are around 175 species in 7 genera. The larvae bore into dead wood and generally have a life span of 2 or more years. The adults are generally nocturnal.
Ceutorhynchini is a true weevil tribe in the subfamily Baridinae.
Tychius is a genus of leguminous seed weevils in the family Curculionidae. There are at least 630 described species in Tychius.
Apioninae is a subfamily of pear-shaped weevils in the family of beetles known as Brentidae. There are at least 20 genera and 80 described species in Apioninae. They feed on living vegetation and sometimes on galls, making them occasional pests or tools of biological control.
Apostasimerini is a tribe of flower weevils in the family of beetles known as Curculionidae. There are over 240 genera and nearly 1700 described species in Apostasimerini.
Conoderinae is a subfamily of true weevils in the beetle family Curculionidae. There are more than 210 genera in 15 tribes, and about 2,400 described species in Conoderinae.
Myllocerus is a genus of oriental broad-nosed weevils in the beetle family Curculionidae. There are at least 330 described species in Myllocerus.
Cnemogonini is a tribe of minute seed weevils in the family of beetles known as Curculionidae. There are 15 genera in Cnemogonini.
Cleonis is a genus of cylindrical weevils in the beetle family Curculionidae. There are at least 120 described species in Cleonis.
Hylesinus is a genus of crenulate bark beetles in the family Curculionidae. There are more than 180 described species in Hylesinus.
Hypera is a genus of clover and alfalfa weevils in the beetle family Curculionidae. There are at least 280 described species in Hypera.
Stenocerini is a tribe of fungus weevils in the subfamily of beetles known as Anthribinae. There are at least sixteen genera in Stenocerini.
Platystomini is a tribe of fungus weevils in the beetle family Anthribidae. There are 4 genera and over 100 described species in North America, and many others worldwide.
Rhyssomatus is a genus of true weevils in the beetle family Curculionidae. There are at least 180 described species in Rhyssomatus.
Conotrachelini is a tribe of true weevils in the family of beetles known as Curculionidae. There are about 7 genera and at least 50 described species in Conotrachelini.
Rhyncolus is a genus of true weevils in the beetle family Curculionidae. There are at least 140 described species in Rhyncolus.
Choraginae is a subfamily of fungus weevils in the beetle family Anthribidae. There are about 9 genera and more than 180 described species in Choraginae.
Tanymecus is a genus of broad-nosed weevils in the beetle family Curculionidae. There are at least 100 described species in Tanymecus.
