Bahona College, established in 1966, is a general degree college situated at Bahona, in Jorhat district, Assam. Ram Kumar Baruah was the founder principal of the college. This college is affiliated with the Dibrugarh University. [1] It offers higher secondary and undergraduate courses in both arts and science.

Sibsagar College, Joysagar, is a college offering graduate and postgraduate courses affiliated with Dibrugarh University. In 1947, Padmadhar Chaliha founded the college and his son, Paragdhar Chaliha, was the chief architect. The college was established with permission from the state government and approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Gauhati University (GU), Guwahati, Assam and also to Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Guwahati, Assam.
