[1] Dibru College was established in 1963 situated at Boiragimoth, the heart of Dibrugarh city. Today the college provides major courses altogether in twelve out of twenty one subjects. The Government of India has identified the college as a Biotechnology hub too. The college has received a grant from the Department of Science and Technology. Recently the college has also received a grant from the Government of Assam for excursion, magazine and games & sports developments. The Dibru College Central Library is the heart of the institution.The library is a two storied building with 594.57 sq feet area. It is automated through SOUL3.0 and the Digital Library is developed with DSpace software. It has 44200 books and 1,35,000 are belonging to it. The library has 12 numbers of Print Journals and 6200 e-journal, 21 magazines and 12 newspapers of English Hindi, Assamese languages .I has been modernised with Kindle Digital Reading as well as Relax Reading Room facilities. It touches the needs of the local people through Remote Access Service and Documents Delivery Services.The uniqueness of the library is Readers'Club Sitting and publication of peer reviewed annual journal "GRANTHAKUTI". The library is organised National Librarians'Day, World Books and Copyright Day and is awarded the Best Reader Award and Best E-resources User Award annually.

It is located in Sotai, on the outskirts of Jorhat city. It is the first science college of Upper Assam and the third state-government-run engineering college of Assam. It is affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University. It is also the only government engineering college of Assam which offers both engineering and basic science courses.

Sibsagar College, Joysagar, is a college offering graduate and postgraduate courses affiliated with Dibrugarh University. The college is situated at the eastern bank of Joysagar Tank and is approximately 5 km southwest of Sivasagar town. In 1947, Padmadhar Chaliha founded the college and his son, Paragdhar Chaliha, was the chief architect. Initially affiliated with Gauhati University, from 1965 until the present, the school has been affiliated with Dibrugarh University. The college campus is 103 bighas of land, and the school contains 16 different departments.

Sachchidananda Sinha College, Aurangabad was established in 1943 by a local dignitary, renounced pleader and social worker Shree Akhouri Krishna Prakash Sinha alias Tripurari babu with the moral support of his friends Dr.Sachchidananda Sinha and Bihar-Vibhuti Dr.Anugrah Narayan Sinha. It is the oldest college under Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar and converted into constituent unit of this university in 1974. In 1957, it was renamed after its donors as Dibrugarh Hanumanbax Surajmall Kanoi College. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan came from Delhi to inaugurate the college.
