Salt Brook Academy is a Junior College, established in 1995, and located in Dibrugarh of Assam, India. [1] [2]

Salt Brook Academy is a co-educational institution with more than 1200 students, in a self-contained campus with all necessary infrastructural facilities. It is situated at Boiragimoth, in the heart of the city Dibrugarh. This institution is run by a society, named Salt Brook Academy Society registered under the Society Act of 1860. Salt Brook Academy initially was a Junior College of Science stream but soon the academy covered all the three streams, Arts, Science and Commerce, recognized by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, vide letter AHSEC/RPR/DIB/C/313/9489, Dt. 11/01/2012.[ citation needed ]

Elective subjects offered in science stream include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science & application, and Statistics. While the core subjects in science stream include English and M.I.L ( Alternative English or Assamese or Hindi )

Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Junior College is a Junior College located at Boiragimoth, Dibrugarh, Assam, India. It has been established in the year 1997. During the initial years up to 2011 it provided +2 level education only in the Science stream and hence named a Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Junior Science College. It has introduced commerce stream from the 2012 session and the arts stream from the Academic Session 2013-14 and hence the college was renamed as Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Junior College.

Joyanti Chutia is an Indian physicist who specializes in solid-state physics and plasma physics. She was among the first women who have headed scientific institutions in India when she became the Director of the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology in Guwahati, Assam, which is the first major research institution in North East India. She is a fellow of National Academy of Sciences. She is an Emeritus Scientist at the Department of Science & Technology in the Government of India.

Assam Combined Entrance Examination is a state-government controlled centralized entrance examination, conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University for admission into the 7 premier government engineering colleges in Assam. The test is taken after the 12th grade for admission to graduation courses. The exam can be taken by those who studied Pure Science stream in plus two level with the specific subjects tested in the examination, which are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Every year approximately 25,000 people take the examination, and it is increasing. Students of both Assam Higher Secondary Education Council and the Central Board of Secondary Education board take the test. Formerly the examination was conducted by Dibrugarh University and since 2018 it is conducted by Assam Science & Technology University.

Pragya Academy is a Junior College, established in 2010, and located in Jorhat of Assam, India.
