Balde is a genus of tachinid flies in the family Tachinidae. [2]
The Tachinidae are a large and variable family of true flies within the insect order Diptera, with more than 8,200 known species and many more to be discovered. Over 1,300 species have been described in North America alone. Insects in this family commonly are called tachinid flies or simply tachinids. As far as is known, they all are protelean parasitoids, or occasionally parasites, of arthropods, usually other insects. The family is known from many habitats in all zoogeographical regions and is especially diverse in South America.
Actinochaetopteryx is a genus of tachinid flies in the family Tachinidae. Its members occur in the Palaearctic, Oriental, and Australasian realms.
Actinodoria is a genus of tachinid flies in the family Tachinidae. The only known tachinid parasitoid of a dragonfly is believed to belong to this genus, and was discovered as a larva living near the dragonfly's wing muscles.
Cubaemyiopsis is a genus of flies in the family Tachinidae.
Eutelothyria is a genus of parasitic flies in the family Tachinidae.
Paradrino is a genus of flies in the family Tachinidae.
Plesina is a genus of flies in the family Tachinidae.
Pseudorrhinactia is a genus of tachinid flies in the family Tachinidae.
Rossimyiops is a genus of flies in the family Tachinidae.
Senostoma is a genus of parasitoid tachinid flies in the family Tachinidae. Endemic to Australasia, the flies are medium-sized, bristly, and long-legged.
Tunapunia is a genus of flies in the family Tachinidae.
Ametadoria abdominalis is a species of tachinid flies in the genus Ametadoria of the family Tachinidae. It was originally placed in the genus Abolodoria, where it was the type species of the genus; Abolodoria was later found to be a synonym of Ametadoria in 2015.
Exoristinae is a subfamily of flies in the family Tachinidae. Most species are parasitoids of caterpillars.
Blondeliini is a tribe of parasitic flies in the family Tachinidae. Larvae are parasitoids of other insects, mostly beetles and caterpillars. Although nearly cosmopolitan, its greatest diversity is in the New World and especially in South America.
Isochaetina is a genus of parasitic flies in the family Tachinidae.
Ernestiini is a tribe of flies in the family Tachinidae.
Tachininae is a subfamily of flies in the family Tachinidae.
Minthoini is a tribe of flies in the family Tachinidae.
Sturmiopsis inferens is a species of fly in the family Tachinidae. It is native to Asia and is a parasitoid of various moth species whose larvae feed inside the stems of sugarcane, rice and other large grasses, including the Gurdaspur borer and the sugarcane shoot borer.
Aesia is a genus of tachinid flies in the family Tachinidae.
