The Balearic Islands autonomous basketball team is the basketball team of Balearic Islands. The team is not affiliated to FIBA, so only plays friendly games.

History

Balearic Islands will play two games in June 2013 against Lithuania. The head coach of the team, Xavi Sastre, called up two ACB champions like Rudy Fernández and Sergio Llull and another eight players in the league.

The 1952–53 Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball team represented Georgetown University during the 1952–53 NCAA college basketball season. Harry "Buddy" Jeannette – who had played professional basketball from 1938 to 1950 and had coached the original Baltimore Bullets from 1947 to 1951 – coached the 1952–53 Hoyas in his first season as head coach. The team was an independent and played its home games at McDonough Gymnasium on the Georgetown campus in Washington, D.C. It finished with a record of 8-14 and had no post-season play.

The Lithuania men's students basketball team represents Lithuania at various students competitions. Most of the team members plays at the Lietuvos studentų krepšinio lyga, though some of them are members of the professional basketball clubs, such as Žalgiris Kaunas and Lietuvos rytas Vilnius. The team won gold medals at the 2007 Summer Universiade and bronze medals at the 2011 Summer Universiade.
