Baotong Temple Station (Chinese :宝通寺站), is a station of Line 2 of Wuhan Metro. It entered revenue service on December 28, 2012. It is located in Hongshan District. [1] Baotong Temple is located to the immediate north of the station.
Simplified Chinese characters are standardized Chinese characters prescribed in the Table of General Standard Chinese Characters for use in mainland China. The Wuhan Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Wuhan, Hubei, operated by the Wuhan Metro Co., Ltd. The system began operation on July 28, 2004 with the completion of a ten-station long elevated line between Huangpu Road and Zongguan, making Wuhan the fifth city in mainland China to have a metro system after Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Line 1 is the first metro line in China to have been wrongly referred to as a light rail system in Chinese terminology. As of February 2019, there are nine lines in operation, totaling 216 stations and 318 kilometres (198 mi) of system length. The daily ridership of Wuhan Metro ranges from 2,200,000 to 2,800,000.
