Bartell is a compilation album by American electronic band The Moog Cookbook, released in 2005. It consists of material previously released as single b-sides and on EPs, soundtracks and compilation albums, as well as previously unreleased material.

Contents

The album marks the first commercial release of the band's cover of Foo Fighters' "Big Me," which had been featured in the music video for "Monkey Wrench." [1]

David Eric Grohl is an American musician, songwriter, filmmaker, and author. At 17, Grohl joined the punk rock band Scream after the departure of their drummer, Kent Stax. He became the drummer for the Seattle grunge band, Nirvana, after Scream's disbandment in 1990. Nirvana's second album, Nevermind (1991), was the first to feature Grohl on drums and became a worldwide success.

After the debut became an international success, Grohl recruited guitarist Pat Smear, bassist Nate Mendel, and drummer William Goldsmith to form the band's full lineup. The group convened in the fall of 1996 for pre-production on a second album, and brought in Gil Norton as producer to establish a pop sensibility for the tracks. The tour also featured summer festivals in Europe and Asia.
