The Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center (formerly Bataan Provincial Hospital) is a tertiary level government hospital in the Philippines with an authorized bed capacity of five hundred (500). [1] It is located along Manahan Street, Tenejero, Balanga.
Bataan, officially the Province of Bataan, is a province in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. Its capital is the city of Balanga while Mariveles is the largest town in the province. Occupying the entire Bataan Peninsula on Luzon, Bataan is bordered by the provinces of Zambales and Pampanga to the north. The peninsula faces the South China Sea to the west and Subic Bay to the north-west, and encloses Manila Bay to the east.

Balanga, officially the City of Balanga, is a 4th class component city and capital of the province of Bataan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 104,173 people. It is south of San Fernando, Pampanga and northwest of Manila. Balanga joined the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities in 2015.
Morong, officially the Municipality of Morong, is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Bataan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 35,394 people.
The Day of Valor, officially known as Araw ng Kagitingan, is a national observance in the Philippines which commemorates the fall of Bataan to Japanese troops during World War II. The day is officially celebrated every April 9, the start of the Bataan Death March, although the date was moved on several occasions to avoid it from coinciding with the observance of the Holy Week in the country, especially the Easter Triduum and Easter Sunday, such as in 2009 and 2023.

Jose "Joe" Bulaon Lingad, also known by his initials JBL, was a Filipino lawyer and politician who served as governor of Pampanga from 1948 to 1951 and representative of Pampanga's 1st district from 1969 to 1972. He also became commissioner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Bureau of Customs then subsequently secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment.
Enrique "Tet" Tuason Garcia Jr. was a Filipino politician who served as the governor of Bataan from 1992 until 1994, and again from 2004 until 2013. He served five non-consecutive terms as a congressman from Bataan's 2nd congressional district. He died during his third stint in the House in 2016.

Geraldine Batista Roman is a Filipino journalist and politician serving as the Representative of Bataan's 1st district since 2016. She is the first transgender person elected to the Congress of the Philippines.
The Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB), formerly Bataan Export Processing Zone (BEPZ) and Bataan Economic Zone (BEZ) from June 21, 1969 to June 30, 2010, is a special economic zone in Mariveles, Bataan, Philippines. It was envisioned by Congressman Pablo Roman, Sr., a representative from Bataan, who authored Republic Act 5490 designating the said location as the first free trade zone in the Philippines. It is also the second freeport zone in the province since June 30, 2010, after Subic Special Economic and Freeport Zone in Hermosa and Morong.
Bataan's 1st congressional district is one of the three congressional districts of the Philippines in the province of Bataan. It has been represented in the House of Representatives since 1987. The district consists of municipalities in northeastern Bataan, namely Abucay, Hermosa, Orani and Samal. The northern municipalities of Dinalupihan and Morong were once part of the district until these were reassigned to the third district effective 2022. It is currently represented in the 19th Congress by Albert Garcia of the National Unity Party (NUP).

The district consists of western Bataan municipalities of Bagac, Dinalupihan, Mariveles and Morong also bordering Pampanga and Zambales. It is currently represented in the 19th Congress by Ma. Angela Garcia of the NUP, who is the district's first representative since its creation.
