Beech is an unincorporated community in Calhoun County, West Virginia, United States.
Greenbrier County is a county in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 32,977. Its county seat is Lewisburg. The county was formed in 1778 from Botetourt and Montgomery counties in Virginia.
Huntington is a city in Cabell and Wayne counties in the U.S. state of West Virginia. The county seat of Cabell County, the city is located at the confluence of the Ohio and Guyandotte rivers. Huntington is the second-largest city in West Virginia, with a population of 46,842 as of the 2020 census. Its metro area, the Huntington–Ashland metropolitan area, is the largest in West Virginia, spanning seven counties across three states and having a population of 359,862 at the 2020 census. During the 1900s, the city was a major hub for manufacturing, transportation, and Industrialization. After World War II, due to the shutdown of these industries, the city lost nearly 46% of its population, from a peak of 86,353 in 1950 to 54,844 in 1990. Both the city and metropolitan area declined in population from the 2010 census, a trend that has been ongoing for six decades. It is home to the Port of Huntington Tri-State, the second-busiest inland port in the United States.

Beech Fork Lake is a 720 acre (2.9 km2) reservoir located near Lavalette in Wayne County, West Virginia, United States. Beech Fork Lake is also partly located in neighboring Cabell County. Millers Fork and Stowers Branch join Beech Fork with their own river valleys contributing to the majority of the lakesurface of Beech Fork Lake. These streams are tributaries of Twelvepole Creek.
Lavalette is a census-designated place (CDP) in Wayne County, West Virginia, in the United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,073. Lavalette is located at the intersection of West Virginia Route 152 and West Virginia Route 75, eight miles south of Huntington. The town is near Beech Fork Lake, a popular location for boating and fishing, and Twelvepole Creek. Lavalette was named after Lavalette Miller, the daughter of a Norfolk & Western Railway official.
Beech Fork State Park is a state park located in Cabell County and Wayne County, West Virginia. The park is located on the tailwater shores of Beech Fork Lake, a flood control impoundment of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the Beech Fork of Twelvepole Creek. Since its development in the mid-1970s, Beech Fork State Park has proven to be a popular recreation spot for the residents of nearby Barboursville and Huntington, West Virginia, as well as those living in the surrounding region. The park is located about 10 miles (16 km) south of the Hal Greer Exit of Interstate 64.

The Beech Ridge Wind Farm in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, is a 100 MW generating facility with 67 GE 1.5 MW wind turbines. The 250 feet (76 m) tall wind turbines, are placed along Shellcamp, Smokehouse, Beech, Rockcamp and Big ridges and Cold Knob, Old Field, Blue Knob and Nunly Mountains. It is served by a new 13.8 miles (22.2 km), 138 kilovolt power transmission line, located in Greenbrier and Nicholas counties, tied to an electrical substation near Nettie, West Virginia. As of June 2003, plans for expanding the facility with 33 additional units were underway.
The Weirton–Steubenville, WV–OH Metropolitan Statistical Area, also known as the Upper Ohio Valley, is a metropolitan statistical area consisting of two counties in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia and one in Ohio, anchored by the cities of Weirton and Steubenville. As of the 2020 census, the MSA had a population of 116,903. This puts it at 334th largest in the United States. It is also included in the larger Pittsburgh–New Castle–Weirton, PA–OH–WV Combined Statistical Area.
Alexander is an unincorporated community in Upshur County, West Virginia, United States. Alexander is located on County Route 11 and the Buckhannon River, 14.6 miles (23.5 km) south of Buckhannon. The coal hauling Beech Mountain Railroad (BEEM) also runs through and interchanges with the Appalachian and Ohio Railroad (A&O) in Alexander.

Arbuckle Magisterial District is one of ten magisterial districts in Mason County, West Virginia, United States. The district was originally established as a civil township in 1863, and converted into a magisterial district in 1872. In 2020, Arbuckle District was home to 1,054 people.
