Alcea genus of plants

Alcea is a genus of about 60 species of flowering plants in the mallow family Malvaceae, commonly known as the hollyhocks. They are native to Asia and Europe. The single species of hollyhock from the Americas, the streambank wild hollyhock, belongs to a different genus.

Rhodiola rosea Species of plant

Rhodiola rosea is a perennial flowering plant in the family Crassulaceae. It grows naturally in wild Arctic regions of Europe, Asia, and North America, and can be propagated as a groundcover. Rhodiola rosea has been used in traditional medicine for several disorders, notably including treatment of anxiety and depression. As of 2019, there is no high-quality clinical research to indicate it is effective for treating any disorder, and the United States Food and Drug Administration has issued several warnings to manufacturers of R. rosea dietary supplements for making false health claims about its safety and efficacy.

Hatiora genus of plants

Hatiora is a small genus of epiphytic cacti which belongs to the tribe Rhipsalideae within the subfamily Cactoideae of the Cactaceae. Recent taxonomic studies have led to the three species formerly placed in subgenus Rhipsalidopsis being removed from the genus, including the well known and widely cultivated ornamental plants known as Easter cactus or Whitsun cactus.

Incisura is a genus of sea snails or keyhole limpets, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Scissurellidae.

Quercus × morehus species of plant

Quercus ×morehus, Abram's oak in Kellogg's original description, is a named hybrid between the red oaks Quercus kelloggii and Quercus wislizeni. Originally published as the unique species Quercus morehus by Kellogg, rather than as the hybrid it is called today, this tree is found in the US states of California and possibly southern Oregon, usually where the territories of the purported parents overlap.

Rhodoplanes is a phototrophic genus of bacteria. Rhodoplanes produces hopanoids like diplopterol, tetrahymanol, 2-methyldiplopterol, 2-methyltetrahymanol, bacteriohopanetetrol, bacteriohopaneaminotriol and carotenoids like spirilloxanthin, rhodopin, anhydrorhodovibrin, 1,1′-dihydroxylycopene and 3,4,3′,4′-tetrahydrospirilloxanthin

Roseomonas ludipueritiae is a species of Gram negative, strictly aerobic, coccobacilli-shaped, pale yellow-colored bacteria. It was first isolated from a children's day care center in 1995. Further work on the isolate led to the proposal of a new genus and species, Teichococcus ludipueritiae in 2003. Further work on T. ludipueritiae found that the species belonged in the genus Roseomonas, and also led to Muricoccus roseus being reclassified as Roseomonas rosea. The species name is derived from Latin ludus (garden) and pueritia (boyhood), referring to the kindergarten day care from which the species was first isolated.
