Paddock Wood is a town and civil parish in the borough of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England, about 8 miles (13 km) southwest of Maidstone. At the 2001 Census it had a population of 8,263, falling marginally to 8,253 at the 2011 Census. Paddock Wood is a centre for hop growing.

In 1934, he was hired as a trainer by the wealthy businessman Charles S. Howard.

Hop River State Park Trail is a Connecticut rail trail that winds for 20.8 miles (33.5 km) eastward from Colonial Drive in the town of Manchester to the Air Line State Park Trail S. in the town of Windham. The trail parallels the Hop River for much of its length. It is owned and operated by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, with upgrades and maintenance done by town forces and community volunteer groups in coordination with the state. The trail is used for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing.

Folkestone Racecourse was a thoroughbred horse racing venue in southeast England, until it closed in 2012. It is located in Westenhanger, by junction 11 of the M20 motorway and about 6 miles (9.7 km) west of Folkestone. The course remains closed and all running rail and steeplechase fences have been removed. In May 2016 it was revealed that the land covered by the racecourse forms part of a plan to develop and build housing. It is now unkempt and in a state of disrepair.

He was influential in the development of the hop farming industry in Kent and owned the largest hop farm in the United Kingdom towards the end of the 19th century. He played first-class cricket between 1867 and 1875, mainly for Kent County Cricket Club.

The Luce Farm is a historic farm property at 170 Luce Drive in Stockbridge, Vermont. The farm was established in the late 18th century, and is a well-preserved example of a rural agriculturally diversified farm property. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.
