Berland Anthony (born 1923) was an Indian professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper for East Bengal and India in both the 1951 Asian Games and 1952 Summer Olympics. [1]
Anthony was part of the India side that participated and won gold during the 1951 Asian Games held in India. [2] He was also part of the India squad that participated in the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. He started in India's only match that tournament against Yugoslavia on 15 July 1952. India were knocked-out as they lost 10–1. [3]

The 1951 Asian Games, officially known as the First Asian Games, was a multi-sport event celebrated in New Delhi, India from 4 to 11 March 1951. The Games received names like First Asiad and 1951 Asiad. A total of 489 athletes representing 11 Asian National Olympic Committees (NOCs) participated in 57 events from eight sports and discipline. The Games was the successor of the Far Eastern Games and the revival of the Western Asiatic Games. The 1951 Asiad were originally scheduled to be held in 1950, but postponed until 1951 due to delays in preparations. On 13 February 1949, the Asian Games Federation was formally established in Delhi, with Delhi unanimously announced as the first host city of the Asian Games.
Sailendra Nath Manna, known popularly as Sailen Manna, was an Indian football player who represented the India national team between 1948 and 1956. Predominantly played as a left-back, Manna is considered as one of the best defenders the country has ever produced. He has represented and captained India in different international competitions, including the Olympics and Asian Games.

Keshav Chandra Dutt, also spelt as Keshav Datt, was an Indian field hockey player and played as a halfback. He was a part of the team that won gold medals at the 1948 and 1952 Olympics. He made 22 international appearances for India and scored two goals in his career. Keshav was the last surviving member of the Indian hockey team which participated at the 1948 London Olympic Games. He was regarded as one of the finest Indian hockey centre half-backs.
Randhir Singh Gentle was an Indian field hockey player and coach. He was a part of the Indian team that won three consecutive gold medals in the Summer Olympics, from 1948 to 1956. Gentle is one among only seven Indians to have won three gold medals at the Games.
Udham Singh Kular was an Indian Hockey Player from Sansarpur, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. Previously he won a gold medal at the 1948 National Sports Week—Indonesia's national multi-sport event—and a bronze medal at the 1951 Asian Games. He later joined the Indonesian Air Force, rising to the rank of lieutenant colonel before retiring.

Puthanparambil Babakhan Abdul Razzaq Saleh, nicknamed Kottayam Saleh, was an Indian football player. He was part of the team that played against Yugoslavia in a 10–1 defeat at the 1952 Summer Olympics.
Runu Guha Thakurta was a former Indian association football player. He was part of the squad that played at the 1952 Summer Olympics against Yugoslavia, but he did not play in the match. He played for both the Calcutta Football League side George Telegraph SC, and Mohun Bagan AC.
