John Whitaker MBE is a British equestrian and Olympian who competes in show jumping. He has one numerous international medals including an olympic silver medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles.
Bermuda sent a delegation to compete at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy from 10–26 February 2006. The Bermudian delegation consisted of a single athlete, skeleton racer Patrick Singleton. This was Bermuda's fifth Winter Olympic Games and Singleton's third consecutive Olympics as the only Bermudian athlete. In his event he came in 19th place.

This was the territory's second appearance in a Winter Olympic Games following their debut in the 1992 Albertville Olympics. The only Bermudian athlete was luge racer Simon Payne. In the men's singles, he came in 30th place.

Bermuda sent a delegation to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The games marked Bermuda's twenty-first Olympic appearance since its debut in 1936. The 2008 delegation included six athletes: Tyrone Smith and Arantxa King in long jump, Jillian Terceira in individual jumping on horseback, Kiera Aitken and Roy-Allan Burch in swimming, and Flora Duffy in triathlon. Bermuda did not win any medals in the Beijing games.
Edwina Tops-Alexander is an Australian Olympic-level equestrian rider. Her coach and husband is former Dutch champion Jan Tops. Originating from the Suburbs of Sydney, Edwina started riding when she was 8 years old. By 1995 she had won the Australian Young Riders Championship. Edwina Debuted for Equestrian Australia in Hong Kong, in 1998. The same year, she moved to Europe She met Jan Tops in 2000. She uses the Netherlands as her base for most of the year at Stal Tops Valkenswaard. Edwina was formerly a member of the Shanghai Swans, a team participating in the Global Champions League, for the length of 2016. Edwina is regarded as the most successful Australian showjumper of the 2000s. She has broken many records, including being the first Australian to place inside the top 10 in the World Equestrian Games, and Edwina holds the record for the most money earned by a rider on the Global Champions Tour. Edwina has been competing in the Gct since 2006 and is a veteran of the series. Edwina was selected for Rio 2016, her third Summer Olympics, and is the captain of the Australian Showjumping Team. Tops-Alexander came second in the 2016 Longines Global Champions Tour, being beaten by Rolf Göran-Bengtsson.

Benjamin Richard "Ben" Maher MBE is a British show jumper. He represented Britain at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2009 European Championships, Windsor, and 2012 London Olympics. He won the team jumping gold at the London Olympics with Team GB, their first team jumping gold medal for 60 years. He also won bronze at the 2011 Europeans Championships in Madrid, Spain. He has won many international Grand Prixs including the Olympia Grand Prix, Hickstead King George V Gold Cup at Hickstead, FEI World Cup Qualifier Grand Prix at Wellington with various rides.

Bermuda sent a delegation to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. from 12–28 February 2010. The territory sent one athlete, cross-country skier Tucker Murphy. This was the country's first appearance in a skiing discipline. Murphy finished 88th in the 15 kilometre freestyle event, the only one he was entered into.
British Showjumping is the Great Britain governing body for the equestrian sport of showjumping. It provides the competitors for Team GBR in international competition and sets the rules under which affiliated competitions are held. It is one of the 16 organisations which form part of the British Equestrian Federation.

Scott Brash MBE is a Scottish showjumper. He has been riding the horse Hello Sanctos since early 2012. They competed as part of the British Team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London winning a gold medal in the team jumping event. In 2015 he became the first rider to win show jumping's Rolex Grand Slam, all three of the sport's most prestigious events in a single year, earning the sport's biggest individual prize of 1m Euros (£735,000).

Bermuda competed at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Ontario, Canada from July 10 to 26, 2015. In April 2015, Carlos Lee was named as the chef de mission for the team.
