Beyond the Shrouded Horizon is the twenty-first studio album by English guitarist and songwriter Steve Hackett.
"Loch Lomond" is named after the loch of the same name in Scotland. Hackett described the track as blues-influenced which changes to European music once the strings are heard. The lyrics contain many contradictory images, such as a hummingbird in the snow. Though the song contains what sound like bagpipes, Hackett revealed that the sound is in fact a mix of bagpipe samples and a saxophone with the reed "turned around the other way". [2]
Stephen Richard Hackett is an English musician, songwriter, singer, and producer who gained prominence as the lead guitarist of the progressive rock band Genesis from 1971 to 1977. Hackett contributed to six Genesis studio albums, three live albums, seven singles and one EP before he left to pursue a solo career. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Genesis in 2010.
John Hackett is a British flautist, the younger brother of guitarist Steve Hackett. Although his primary instrument is the flute, he also plays guitar, bass, bass pedals and keyboards.
Genesis Revisited, called Watcher of the Skies: Genesis Revisited in the US, is the 12th studio album by Steve Hackett, paying tribute to his former band, Genesis. It mainly features songs originally released by Genesis during Hackett's tenure with the group (1971–77). The previously unreleased song "Déjà Vu" was started by Peter Gabriel in 1973 during the Selling England by the Pound sessions but not finished and Hackett completed the song for this album. There are also two new songs, "Valley of the Kings" and "Waiting Room Only"; the latter is named after and loosely inspired by "The Waiting Room", an instrumental from the 1974 Genesis album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. The Japanese version of the album contains one extra song called "Riding the Colossus".
The Tokyo Tapes is a live and studio album by English guitarist Steve Hackett, released in April 1998 by Camino Records. It documents two concerts performed by a supergroup line-up of Hackett, John Wetton, Chester Thompson, Ian McDonald and Julian Colbeck, in Tokyo, Japan in December 1996. The album includes two studio tracks recorded by Hackett. In 2001, a same-titled DVD of the concerts was released.
Please Don't Touch! is the second studio album by English guitarist and songwriter Steve Hackett. It was released in April 1978 on Charisma Records, and it is his first album released after leaving the progressive rock band Genesis in 1977. Hackett had released Voyage of the Acolyte (1975) during his time in Genesis. For his next solo release he recorded in the United States and hired various guest artists, including singers Randy Crawford, Richie Havens, and Steve Walsh, drummers Phil Ehart and Chester Thompson, bassist Tom Fowler, with Van der Graaf Generator violinist Graham Smith.

It was recorded with his then touring band including his brother John and producer and keyboardist Roger King. The album was released in three formats including a standard and special editions. Cover artwork was by Kim Poor. There was also a Japanese edition with an extra track not included on the UK releases and alternate cover art, also by Kim Poor.
Time Lapse is the first live album by guitarist Steve Hackett. The album is drawn from live performances at the Savoy Theatre in New York City and at Central TV Studios in Nottingham. Chas Cronk of the Strawbs plays bass on the songs recorded in New York, as well as future Marillion drummer, Ian Mosley.
Feedback 86 is the 15th studio album by guitarist Steve Hackett. The album is a collection of songs written in 1986 but put on the shelf. Some of the songs were supposed to be on the aborted second GTR album. The album features guest appearances by singer Bonnie Tyler, Queen guitarist Brian May, Manfred Mann's Earth Band vocalist Chris Thompson, and Marillion members Ian Mosley and Pete Trewavas.

Out of the Tunnel's Mouth is the 20th studio album by English guitarist and songwriter Steve Hackett, released in October 2009 by Wolfwork and EAR Music. Hackett started recording the album in 2008 while he was involved in a legal case against his ex-wife Kim Poor, which created problems regarding its release. As a result, recording took place in his living room with his touring keyboardist Roger King serving as co-producer. The album includes performances by founding Genesis guitarist Anthony Phillips and Yes bassist Chris Squire.
Darktown is the 14th studio album from British Musician Steve Hackett, released in 1999. It was reissued in 2013 with 3 bonus tracks. On some copies of this reissue, the title was misspelled as "Darktwon" on the sides of the CD case.
Live Rails is an album by musician Steve Hackett. It was recorded during the tour around the release of Out of the Tunnel's Mouth. It is also the first of Hackett's official live releases since The Tokyo Tapes to feature a significant number of Genesis songs. Their inclusion foreshadows the Genesis Revisited tours that would occur several years later. A related release to this one is the Fire and Ice DVD, also recorded around the same time, which includes more emphasis on Genesis-era tracks.
A Life Within a Day is the only studio album by the musical project Squackett, featuring Chris Squire (Yes) and Steve Hackett (ex-Genesis). It was released on 28 May 2012, although it had been written and recorded a few years earlier. The title track, "A Life Within a Day" won the 'Anthem' award at the 2012 Progressive Music Awards. The song "Aliens" was first written as a Yes song titled "Aliens " which was performed during the first leg of Yes's In the Present world tour, but had never been released on an album.
