Plot

Parasuram, a Taekwondo coach, faces a life-altering event when one of his disciples betrays him. After a confrontation, he sets out to find a new protégé. During his journey, he suffers a heart attack and is hospitalized. To cover his medical expenses, his daughter, Mahalakshmi, comes to the village to sell some land. While struggling to sell the property, they meet Bhadrachalam, a strong and capable man who assists Parasuram with his physical strength. Impressed by Bhadrachalam's potential, Parasuram decides to train him in Taekwondo. The story then follows Bhadrachalam’s development under Parasuram’s guidance as he strives to become the next champion.

Telugucinema.com reviewed the film as a sports drama emphasizing the importance of supporting village sports, with solid performances but a need for better editing in the second half. [1] [2] [3]

Adurthi Subba Rao was an Indian film director, cinematographer, screenwriter, editor and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. Rao is widely regarded as the intellectual fountain head of Indian drama films. He has garnered seven National Film Awards. Rao made his foray into cinema as Associate to Uday Shankar in the 1948 dance film Kalpana, which was showcased in the "Treasures from National Film Archive of India" at the 39th International Film Festival of India. The 1960 film Nammina Bantu was a work of drama in the broader sense achieved by means of actors who represented mimesis throughout the narrative. The film was simultaneously shot in Tamil as Pattaliyin Vetri. Upon release both versions received critical acclaim. The Telugu work was screened at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. Mestri (transl. Expert) is a 2009 Indian Telugu-language political drama film directed by Suresh Krissna and produced by K. Ramakrishna Prasad. The film stars Dasari Narayana Rao, who also wrote the story and screenplay, alongside Vijayachander, Pradeep Rawat, Vijayakumar and Srihari. It was released on 12 March 2009. Rao won the Nandi Award for Best Actor.
