Bhekithemba Maxwell Lubisi (24 September 1986 - 10 April 2023) was a South African politician who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature since 2019 until his death on 10 April 2023. He was elected to his seat in the 2019 general election, ranked 20th on the ANC's party list. At the time of his death, Lubisi served as chairperson of the legislature's Select Committee on Public Participation & Petitions as well as the Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs. He was born in the agricultural rich Nkomazi area of Mpumalanga province on 24 September 1986. [4] At the time of his election to the legislature, he chaired the ANC Youth League's large regional branch in Ehlanzeni, having been elected to a third term [5] in the position at a chaotic league elective conference in June 2018. [6] [7] Earlier in his tenure, in July 2015, he appeared in the Boschfontein Periodical Court on a murder charge, accused with two others of having fatally assaulted a suspected robber. [4] [8]

Michael Collen Sedibe is a South African politician who is currently a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature and the provincial leader of the legislature's official opposition party, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). He joined the EFF in 2013 after he was expelled from the African National Congress and he was first elected to the provincial legislature in the 2014 general election. In September 2022, he was elected to a third term as the EFF's Provincial Chairperson in Mpumalanga.

Matjie Lehlogonolo Alfred Masoga is a South African politician who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature from 2009 to 2019. He was Limpopo's Member of the Executive Council for Roads and Transport from July 2013 to May 2014 and he subsequently served as Deputy Speaker of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature from 2014 to 2019. He rose to prominence as the Provincial Chairperson of the Limpopo branch of the ANC Youth League, although he was expelled from the league in July 2010 after falling out with league president Julius Malema.

Sindiso Magaqa was a South African politician from KwaZulu-Natal. A member of the African National Congress (ANC), he was assassinated while serving as a local councillor in Umzimkhulu Local Municipality. He was formerly the secretary general of the ANC Youth League from June 2011 to April 2012, when he was found guilty of misconduct and suspended from the party for a year.
