Bicep is the self-titled debut album by electronic music duo Bicep, released on Ninja Tune on 1 September 2017. [1]
Upon its release, Bicep went in at number 20 on the UK Albums Chart. [2] The album received positive reviews on its release, with support from publications such as Pitchfork , The Guardian , Resident Advisor and Mixmag .

Pitchfork referred to the album as "a varied document drawing on the rich history and variety of UK dance music, updated with sleek, modern sounds, vibrant psychedelic textures, and impeccable production". [11]
Mixmag referred to it as "laser focused in the pursuit of pleasure" and that Bicep "makes absolute sense as a complete album". [10]
The Guardian noted that the debut album "fitfully lives up to expectations", naming "Aura" as "one of the dance tracks of the year". [9]
Resident Advisor praised the "rich and varied LP", noting "They out do themselves on Bicep... Contemporary, relevant and, most of all, exciting". [13]
Mixmag later placed the album in first place on their list of Top Albums of the Year, referring to the album as "simultaneously classic and undeniably contemporary". [15]
The lead single, "Glue", was voted by the public as DJ Mag's (Best of British) Track of the Year. [16] It also reached number 1 topping Amazon's Best Electronic of 2017. [17] second in Mixmag 's 100 Best Tracks of 2017, [18] and the Joe Wilson directed video came in at number three in Fact magazine's ten best music videos of 2017. [19]

Ninja Tune is an independent record label based in London, with a satellite office in Los Angeles. It was founded in 1990 by Matt Black and Jonathan More, professionally known as the electronic duo "Coldcut" The label was established as an outlet for Coldcut to explore a style distinct from from that of the mainstream music industry.

Morning/Evening is the eighth album by British electronic musician Kieran Hebden, released under his alias Four Tet in 2015 by Hebden's own Text Records and via the online music store Bandcamp. As a child, Hebden had inherited a collection of Hindu devotional music from his late grandfather but did not listen to it until his maternal grandmother died during the making of his 2013 album, Beautiful Rewind. After sampling the voice of Indian playback singer Lata Mangeshkar, Hebden was inspired to make a record with a similar structure to Indian music, particularly the raga mode and decided to break the album into a "Morning Side" and an "Evening Side". Alongside the sampled vocals, Morning/Evening contains complex drum programming, electronic sounds and manipulated found sounds.
Migration is the sixth studio album by British DJ and record producer Simon Green, performing under the name Bonobo. It was released on 13 January 2017 through Ninja Tune. The album was recorded primarily on laptops rather than in a studio. It was supported by the release of several singles, including "Kerala". "Inner City Life" is a song by British electronic musician Goldie featuring vocals by British singer Diane Charlemagne, released in November 1994 by FFRR as the first single from his acclaimed debut album, Timeless (1995). The song was written by Goldie with Rob Playford, and is widely considered one of the most iconic drum and bass works of its era. Accompanied by a music video directed by Mike Lipscombe, it peaked at No. 39 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 6 on the UK Dance Chart. NME ranked "Inner City Life" No. 11 in their list of the "50 Best Songs of 1994". In 2013, it was ranked No. 30 in Mixmag's list of "50 Greatest Dance Tracks of All Time".

It was released through independent record label Ninja Tune as the first single from the album on 24 March 2020. A 12-inch vinyl single was released on 3 April 2020. The song contains a vocal sample from Israeli singer Ofra Haza's 1988 a capella track "Love Song", written by Bezalel Aloni. "Atlas" peaked at number 91 on the UK Singles Chart and charted at number 90 in Ireland.
