Bidwell is an unincorporated community in northern Laclede County, in the Ozarks of southern Missouri. [1] The community is located just west of Missouri Route 5 and 2.5 miles south of Decaturville in southern Camden County. [2]
An early variant name was Partlow, after J. W. Partlow, a railroad promoter. [3] A post office called Partlow was established in 1886, the name was changed to Bidwell in 1895, and the post office closed in 1915. [4] The present name of Bidwell was the wife's maiden name of an early postmaster. [3]
Laclede County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 36,039. Its county seat is Lebanon. The county was organized February 24, 1849, and was named after Pierre Laclède, founder of St. Louis.
Lynchburg is an unincorporated community in southeastern Laclede County, Missouri, United States. It is located at the intersection of Missouri routes 32 and 95, approximately 30 miles southeast of Lebanon.

It is on Missouri Route Z about one-half mile north of the Laclede-Wright county line. Lynchburg is approximately seven miles to the east. The Gasconade River flows past one mile to the east.
Bennett Spring is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Dallas and Laclede counties, Missouri, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 130. It lies 12 miles (19 km) west of Lebanon on Missouri Route 64. The community is named after a spring that is reported variously as the third or fourth largest in the state, with an average daily flow of about one hundred million gallons, and which is the centerpiece of Bennett Spring State Park.
