Big Brother 1 was the first season of the Bulgarian version of Big Brother and it's the first reality show in Bulgaria. The show was aired on Nova Television. The show started on 18 October 2004 and ended on 17 January 2005 and it was hosted by Niki Kanchev and Evelina Pavlova. The winner was Zdravko, who won 200 000 leva. [1] He also participated in the second season of VIP Brother - the season was won by his wife. [2]
12 Housemates entered the House on Day 1, and another 1 on Day 18. Veneta and Zeyneb entered on Day 50.

Alidzhan Aliev is from Sofia. He entered the house on Day 1 and was the eighth evicted on Day 85.
Anelia Ivanova is from Sofia (born in Ruse). She entered the house on Day 1 and was the first evicted on Day 22. Disappointed with her participation, Anelia returned to Italy, where she lived before the show.
Dimitar Kazalov is from Sofia (lives in London). He entered the house on Day 1 and left voluntarily on Day 17.
Margarita Grigorova is from Kyustendil. She entered the house on Day 1 and was the third evicted on Day 36.
Mariela Kiselkova "Mel" is from Sofia (born in Veliko Tarnovo). She entered the house on Day 1 and was the fifth evicted on Day 57. She had a brief lesbian romance with her roommate Svetlozara and made love to her.
Nayden Naydenov is from Sofia. He entered the house on Day 1, but was ejected on Day 48 along with Svetlan for aggressive behavior. After an incident in which they both started vandalism (breaking things in the house), the nominations were cancelled and there were open special telephone lines - the viewers had to decide whether they should be punished. They had four choices - to eject Nayden, to eject Svetlan, to eject both of them, or both of them simply to stay in the house. Nayden celebrated his 25th birthday in the house - there was a party in which Zara came out of a big cake. They had sex the same night.
Silvia-Aleksandra Docheva is from Lovech. She entered the house on Day 1 and was the second evicted on Day 29.
Stoyka Stefanova is from Plovdiv. She entered the house on Day 1 and was the fourth evicted on Day 43.
Svetlan Shevrov "Groshi" is from Kostandovo. He entered the house on Day 1, but was ejected along with Nayden on Day 48.
Svetlozara Trendafilova "Zara" is from Varna. She entered the house on Day 1 and finished second in the finale on Day 92. She had a brief lesbian romance and sexual encounter with her roommate Mariela.
Tihomir Georgiev is from Sofia. He entered the house on Day 18, after Dimitar's voluntary leave. He was the sixth evicted on Day 71. After he left the house, he met and later married the famous TV host Veneta Raykova. On 26 March 2007 they both entered the house as participants in VIP Brother 2.
Veneta Mileva-Ilieva is from Kostinbrod. She entered the house on Day 50, along with Zeyneb. Veneta left the house voluntarily on Day 58. After her participation in the show, she gave birth to her third child.
Viktor Zhechkov is from Sliven. He entered the house on Day 1 and finished third in the finale on Day 92. Viktor was the only housemate not to be nominated for eviction (never faced the public vote) during the whole season.
Zdravko Vasilev is from Primorsko. He entered the house on Day 1 and became a winner on Day 92. An interesting fact is that his girlfriend Hristina contacted him during his stay in the house to tell him she was pregnant. On 26 March 2007 Zdravko entered the house again, this time as a participant in VIP Brother 2. Before entering, he proposed marriage to Hristina. On Day 5, she entered the house, too with their daughter. The couple married in the house. Surprisingly, Hristina was the winner of VIP Brother 2. [2]
Zeyneb Madzhurova is from Burgas. She entered the house on Day 50 along with Veneta, after Nayden and Svetlan's ejections. She was the seventh evicted on Day 78.

Star Academy was a Bulgarian reality television show produced by the Dutch company Endemol, based on the Spanish format called Operación Triunfo. It consisted of a contest of young singers. It was broadcast on Nova Television. After the end of the season, the contestants went on tour around Bulgaria. A second season of the show was announced to start in 2007, but it was never released.
Big Brother is a reality show based on the Big Brother series by Endemol. The show originates from the Netherlands, where in 1999 the very first season was aired.
VIP Brother 1 was the first season of the Big Brother's spin-off VIP Brother. In it, the Housemates are only famous people. The show follows the main Big Brother rules, but with some changes. For example, in VIP Brother the show's duration is shorter - a month. The nominations and evictions are twice a week. VIP Brother 1 Bulgaria started on 13 March 2006 and ended on 10 April 2006. The hosts were Niki Kanchev and Evelina Pavlova. The show was aired on Nova Television. The winner was the pop-folk singer Konstantin, who was chosen by 78% of the audience. He won 50 000 leva.
VIP Brother 2 was the second season of the Big Brother's spin-off VIP Brother. It was aired on Nova Television. The show started on 26 March 2007 and ended on 27 April 2007. It lasted for 33 Days - 4 Days longer than the previous season, because of the high ratings. VIP Brother 2 was hosted by Niki Kanchev. The winner was Hristina - the only non-VIP housemate. Hristina won 100 000 leva.

Big Brother 3 was the third season of the reality show Big Brother in Bulgaria. It was aired on Nova Television and Nova+. The show launched on 18 September 2006 and ended on 11 December 2006. Originally, the season was planned to air for 11 weeks, 2 weeks shorter than the previous two seasons. However, the season was extended by 7 days and aired for 85 days in total. For the first time, the show was only hosted by Niki Kanchev.
Big Brother 4 was the fourth season of the reality show Big Brother in Bulgaria. It was aired on Nova Television and Nova+. The show launched on 22 September 2008 and continued for 3 months, ended on 14 December 2008, lasted for total of 84 days which is the shortest regular Big Brother season so far in Bulgaria.
VIP Brother 3 was the third season of the Big Brother's spin-off VIP Brother. It launched on Nova Television on 16 March 2009, and ended on 10 May 2009 with an eleven-hour season finale starting at 3:00 pm and finishing after 1:00 am. VIP Brother 3 was confirmed on 31 December 2008 by Niki Kanchev, who returned as a host. He announced that the season would start in March 2009. Later on the same day, Nova Television aired the first promo with the slogan Celebrities change destinies. The show is produced by Niko Tuparev again. All the money from SMS votes were donated to charity, and there was no cash prize for the winner. Also, this season was longer than the previous two. It continued for 56 Days, making it the longest Vip Brother season in Bulgaria so far. Deyan Slavchev "Deo" won with Maria Grozdeva as the runner-up.
Big Brother Family,, was the first family edition of the reality show Big Brother in Bulgaria. It was also the first family season all over the world. The show launched on Nova Television on 22 March 2010 and continued for 3 months, ended on 10 June. This was the shortest regular Big Brother season in Bulgaria so far, lasted for 81 Days. Big Brother Family was produced by Niko Tuparev. For the very first time the Housemates consisted of families - married couples or ones with a child. The winning family was Kouzmovi, who won 200,000 leva, an apartment and a car. Also, for the first time the Housemates had salary. This was the first regular season to be held in the spring, instead of a VIP-season.
El Reencuentro 2011, also known as El Reencuentro: diez años después premiered on March 17, 2011 and will end the May 2, 2011 lasting 47 days. It's the second season for the reality show El Reencuentro. In this season, there are contestants of several famous realities from Telecinco. Seven pairs of ex-contestants with unfinished business from different reality shows are reunited and must live and fight together for the award.
VIP Brother 4, also referred to as VIP Brother 2012 was the fourth season of the reality show VIP Brother in Bulgaria and the ninth season of the Big Brother format overall. It commenced on Nova Television on September 16, 2012 and lasted for two months, ending on November 17, 2012. It was immediately followed by an All-Stars edition. It was the first season to air more than two years after the family edition and more than three years after the third celebrity edition. Niki Kanchev returned as the show's main presenter for the Live shows on Monday on Wednesday, with Aleksandra Sarchadjieva being the presenter for the daily episodes.
Big Brother All-Stars was the first season of the all-star spin-off of Big Brother and the tenth season of the Big Brother format in Bulgaria overall and featured housemates from previous seasons of the show, as well as from other reality formats such as Music Idol, Survivor and X Factor. The all-star edition commenced on 19 November 2012 on Nova Television right after the fourth-season finale of VIP Brother and lasted for a total of 29 days, ended on 17 December 2012. Together with VIP Brother 1 it holds the record for shortest season of the format in Bulgaria so far. Nikola Nasteski "Lester" won with Nayden Naydenov "Ned" as the runner-up.
VIP Brother 5, also referred to as VIP Brother 2013 was the fifth season of the reality show VIP Brother in Bulgaria and the eleventh season of the Big Brother format overall. It was confirmed by Nova Television on June 26, 2013 and commenced on September 15, 2013 and lasted for 63 Days, ended on November 16, 2013, holding the record for longest VIP season of the Big Brother format in Bulgaria together with the fourth season from 2012. Niki Kanchev and Aleksandra Sarchadjieva returned as main presenters. Stanka Zlateva won with Marian Kyurpanov as the runner-up.
Big Brother All Stars 2013 was the second season of the all-star spin-off of Big Brother and the twelfth season of the format in Bulgaria overall. It was confirmed by Niki Kanchev on October 21 during the fifth live eviction on VIP Brother 5. Followed the same air schedule as in 2012, it commenced on Nova on 18 November 2013, immediately after the VIP Brother 5 finale and lasted for a month, ended on 16 December 2013. It featured housemates from previous seasons of the show, as well as participants from other reality formats such as X Factor, Survivor and The cherry of the cake. Zlatka Dimitrova won with Leonardo Bianchi as the runner-up.
VIP Brother 6, also known as VIP Brother: Образцов дом was the sixth season of the reality show VIP Brother in Bulgaria and the thirteenth season of the Big Brother format overall. The promo for the new season began airing on Nova Television on July 25, 2014. The show commenced on September 15, 2014. Niki Kanchev and Aleksandra Sarchadjieva returned as main presenters.
Secret Story - A Casa dos Segredos: Desafio Final 3 (2015) was the third All-Stars season with housemates from seasons 2–5 of the Portuguese version of the reality show Secret Story based on the original French version and of Big Brother. The season started on 4 January 2015, and ran for 2 months, making it the longest Desafio Final so far. The prize is €15,000. The season was officially confirmed on 30 November 2014, and it was given 3 passes to the season on that date. Portugal is the third country worldwide to have three all-star seasons of the format.
VIP Brother 8, also known as VIP Brother: Играта загрубява was eighth season of the Bulgarian reality television series VIP Brother, hosted by Niki Kanchev. The show launched on 11 September 2016 on Nova TV. Niki Kanchev and Aleksandra Sarchadjieva were the main presenters. It concluded 62 days later on 11 November 2016. Miglena Angelova won with Petar Bachvarov "Uti" as the runner-up.
Secret Story - Casa dos Segredos: Desafio Final 4 - Agora ou Nunca (2017) is the fourth All-Stars of the Desafio Final franchise and overall fifth All-Stars season with housemates from previous seasons of the Portuguese version of the reality show Secret Story based on the original French version and of Big Brother. The season began in 8 January 2017 and finished 22 days later on 29 January 2017. This time, the show will also have another housemates from another reality shows like, Love On Top and A Quinta. Portugal was the first country worldwide to have five all-star seasons of the Big Brother format. Desafio Final 4 was the final Desafio Final season of the show.
VIP Brother 9, also known as Любовта е във VIP Brother was ninth season of the Bulgarian reality television series VIP Brother, hosted by Niki Kanchev. The show launched on 11 September 2017 on Nova TV. Niki Kanchev, Aleksandra Sarchadjieva and Miglena Angelova are the main presenters. It concluded 61 days later on 10 November 2017. Yonislav Yotov "Toto" won with Margarita Hranova as the runner-up.
Big Brother All Stars 2017, also known as Big Brother: Most Wanted 2017 was the fifth season of the all-star spin-off of Big Brother and the twentieth season of the format in Bulgaria overall. It was announced on November 3, 2017. Followed the same air schedule as in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, it commenced on Nova Television on 13 November 2017, immediately after the VIP Brother 9 finale and lasted for a month, ending on 11 December 2017. It featured housemates from previous seasons of the show, as well as participants from other reality formats. Georgi "Gino" Tashev won with Konstantin Slavchev as the runner-up.
