Big Brother Family was the first family edition of the reality show Big Brother in Bulgaria, it was initially referred to as Big Brother 5. It was also the first family season all over the world. The show launched on Nova Television on 22 March 2010 and continued for 3 months (12 weeks), ended on 10 June. This was the shortest regular Big Brother season in Bulgaria so far, lasted for 81 Days.
Big Brother Family was produced by Niko Tuparev (Old School Productions). For the very first time the Housemates consisted of families - married couples or ones with a child. The winning family was Kouzmovi, who won 200,000 leva, an apartment and a car. [1] [2] Also, for the first time the Housemates had salary. This was the first regular season to be held in the spring, instead of a VIP-season.
A new season of Big Brother was confirmed by Niki Kanchev on the "Man of the year 2009" awards. [3] The first promo for Big Brother Family was aired on Nova Television on 24 December 2009. It featured the actor Nikolay Urumov.
The show was aired on Nova Television. Live shows (nominations and evictions) aired on Mondays and Thursdays at 8:00 PM. Daily shows were aired on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:00 PM. Diema Family was broadcasting live every day at 9:30 AM.
From 16 January until 7 February auditions were held in the four biggest cities in Bulgaria - Bourgas, Plovdiv, Varna and Sofia. Bulgarian families who live abroad also auditioned after completing a survey on the official website of Big Brother Family. Ani Vladimirova is again the show's psychologist.
10 families entered the House on Day 1. Another 5 new families entered the show on Day 32, which made Big Brother Family the season with the most contestants so far in Bulgaria - 30.

Sashka is from Etropole and Pavlin is from Sofia. They entered the House and Day 1 and were supposed to help the two fake families with their secret task. They finished third in the finale on Day 81.
Tsanka and Antony are from Varna. They entered the House on Day 32 and were the ninth evicted on Day 71. Antony is a brother of Ivayla and Bozhidara from VIP Brother 3 .
Dinko is from Burgas and Magdalena is from Turgovishte. They entered the House on Day 32 and were the sixth evicted on Day 50.
Borislava is from Sofia and Plamen is from Montana. They entered the House on Day 32 with a secret mission. Plamen has to seduce Kornelia and Borislava has to seduce Radoslav. They were the seventh evicted on Day 57. Plamen is a keyboard player in the famous orchestra Kristali.
Eleonora is from Plovdiv and David is from Velingrad. They entered the House on Day 1 and were the eighth evicted on Day 64.
Radka and Chavdar are from Plovdiv. They are the oldest couple in the House (62 years old respectively), and also the oldest Housemates in the history of Big Brother Bulgaria. They entered the House on Day 1 and were the fourth evicted on Day 32.
Tsoncho is from Straldja and Sofia is from Stara Zagora. They entered the House on Day 32 and finished second in the finale on Day 81. They lived in the United States for 18 years before entering the House. Sofia worked with a close partner of Donald Trump.
Eli is from Plovdiv and Veselin is from Dimitrovgrad. They entered the House on Day 1 with their two children and two dogs and became a winners on Day 81.
Massimo is from Lecce, Italy and Kristiana is from Varna. They entered the House with their daughter on Day 1 and walked on Day 5. Together with Danail and Daniel from Big Brother 4 , they are holding the record for the shortest stay in the House in Big Brother Bulgaria - 4 Days.
Boryana is from Sofia and Boyan is from Primorsko. They entered the House on Day 1 with their two children and were the first evicted on Day 18.
Andzhelika was born in Belarus and Radoslav is from Sofia. They entered the House on Day 1 and were the fifth evicted on Day 43.
Maria and Stoyan are both from Ruse. They entered the House on Day 1 and were the second evicted on Day 25.
Dobrin is from Varna and Diyana is from Burgas. They entered the House on Day 32 with their one-year daughter Karina and finished fourth in the finale on Day 81. Dobrin was a candidate for Big Brother 2 and Big Brother 3 .
Kornelia is from Stara Zagora and Hristo is from Pomorie. They entered the House on Day 1 and were the tenth evicted on Day 78.
Vanesa is from Botevgrad and Tsvetelin is from Sofia. Vanessa is 17 years old, making her the youngest Housemate in the history of Big Brother Bulgaria. They entered the House on Day 1 with a secret task. Tsvetelin entered with Iva, the mother of his first child, pretending that they were married. Vanessa entered with her ex-boyfriend Svetlin. They were also pretending to be a family and entered the House via the secret room, where they stayed for one week. On Day 8 they entered the main House. The four Housemates had to keep their secret task for 10 Days. However, it was unsuccessful.
Iva and Svetlin left the House on Day 15. Tsvetanovi were the third evicted on Day 25.
Big Brother Family was shot in the House in Novi khan, where the Housemates from Big Brother 4 and VIP Brother 3 lived. It was redecorated for the new season.
For the new family format there was a supermarket, restaurant, beauty salon and ATM. As there were families with children, private teachers were teaching them during their stay in the House.
Each Monday every family nominates two Housemate with two and one points. The first name listed is the one nominated with two points, and the second - with one. The three families with the most negative votes are nominated for eviction on Thursday.

VIP Brother 1 was the first season of the celebrity version of the Bulgarian reality television show Big Brother. In it, the Housemates are only famous people. The show follows the original Big Brother rules, but with some changes. For example, in VIP Brother, the show's duration is shortened to a month. The nominations and evictions are twice a week.
Big Brother Portugal is the Portuguese version of the international reality television franchise Big Brother, produced by Endemol for Portuguese channel TVI. TVI launched the show in 2000. Since its beginning, it has been a great success.

Originally, the season was planned to air for 11 weeks, 2 weeks shorter than the previous two seasons. However, the season was extended by 7 days and aired for 85 days in total. For the first time, the show was only hosted by Niki Kanchev.
Big Brother 4 was the fourth season of the reality show Big Brother in Bulgaria. It was aired on Nova Television and Nova+. The show launched on 22 September 2008 and continued for 3 months, ended on 14 December 2008, lasted for total of 84 days which is the shortest regular Big Brother season so far in Bulgaria.
VIP Brother 3 was the third season of the celebrity version of the Bulgarian reality television show Big Brother. It was launched on Nova Television on 16 March 2009, and ended on 10 May 2009 with an eleven-hour season finale starting at 3:00 pm and finishing after 1:00 am.
Grande Fratello 10 was the tenth season of the Italian version of the reality show franchise Big Brother. The show premiered on 26 October 2009 and concluded on 8 March 2010. Alessia Marcuzzi returned as the main host of the show. The winner of the season, Mauro Marin, received a €250,000 grand prize.
Big Brother 5, also known as Big Brother: 100% натурален was the fifth season of the Bulgarian reality television series Big Brother, and the fifteenth season of the format overall. The series launched on Nova Television on 17 August 2015, seven years after the last regular season of the format since Big Brother 4.
Big Brother Albania 4 was the fourth season of the Albanian series of the worldwide franchise of Big Brother. It launched on Saturday, 25 December 2010, with fifteen Housemates entering the House. The winner received a 10,000,000 lekë (€75,000) prize. Ermela Mezuraj, a 24-year-old social worker from Tirana won the fourth edition of Big Brother Albania, and in doing so she was the first female winner of the show. Big Brother 4 (Albania) aired on two cable channels 24 hours a day on the Digit-Alb cable network, as well as on two additional channels on DigitAlb Mobile. Daily reviews were shown Monday through Saturday on Top Channel. The eviction show aired on Saturdays at 21:00 CET, while a Sunday edition closed off the week. The main host is Arbana Osmani, while Eno Popi hosted the Sunday morning edition called "Big Brother Albania Fans' Club", featuring dialogues with eliminated contestants and fans of the show. Blendi Salaj, a young publicist, blogger and radio morning show host took over the role of the panelist. The panelist asked Housemates questions regarding their life in the Big Brother house, helping to provide the public with deeper insights. The Big Brother Forum didn't return this year.
VIP Brother 5, also referred to as VIP Brother 2013 was the fifth season of the reality show VIP Brother in Bulgaria and the eleventh season of the Big Brother format overall. It was confirmed by Nova Television on June 26, 2013 and commenced on September 15, 2013 and lasted for 63 Days, ended on November 16, 2013, holding the record for longest VIP season of the Big Brother format in Bulgaria together with the fourth season from 2012. Niki Kanchev and Aleksandra Sarchadjieva returned as main presenters. Stanka Zlateva won with Marian Kyurpanov as the runner-up.
VIP Brother 6, also known as VIP Brother: Образцов дом was the sixth season of the reality show VIP Brother in Bulgaria and the thirteenth season of the Big Brother format overall. The promo for the new season began airing on Nova Television on July 25, 2014. The show commenced on September 15, 2014. Niki Kanchev and Aleksandra Sarchadjieva returned as main presenters.
Secret Story - Casa dos Segredos: Desafio Final 3 was the third all-stars season with housemates from seasons 2 to 5 of the Portuguese version of the reality show Secret Story, which based on the original French version and of Big Brother. The season started on 4 January 2015, and ended on 22 February 2015, making it the longest Desafio Final season so far. The prize is €15,000. The season was officially confirmed on 30 November 2014 when season 5 was airing, and it was given 3 passes to this season on that date. Portugal is the third country worldwide to have three all-star seasons of the format.
VIP Brother 7, also known as VIP Brother: 100% напудрен was the seventh season of the Bulgarian reality television series VIP Brother, hosted by Niki Kanchev. The show launched on 13 September 2015 on Nova TV. Niki Kanchev and Aleksandra Sarchadjieva were the main presenters. It concluded 62 days later on 13 November 2015. Georgi "Gino" Tashev won with Ernestina Shinova as the runner-up.
VIP Brother 9, also known as Любовта е във VIP Brother was ninth season of the Bulgarian reality television series VIP Brother, hosted by Niki Kanchev. The show launched on 11 September 2017 on Nova TV. Niki Kanchev, Aleksandra Sarchadjieva and Miglena Angelova are the main presenters. It concluded 61 days later on 10 November 2017. Yonislav Yotov "Toto" won with Margarita Hranova as the runner-up.
Big Brother 6, also known as Big Brother: A Revolução, is the sixth season of the Portuguese version of the reality show Big Brother. It's the second original format of Big Brother to air in 2020, one month after the fifth season ended on 2 August 2020. It was also revealed on 5 July 2020 during the live eviction show that the audition for Big Brother 6 was open and the show will be called "Big Brother: A Revolução". The show is featuring a new format and rules, housemates will have to be more interactive and competitive in the house if they want to win.
Grande Fratello VIP 5 is the fifth celebrity season of the Italian reality television franchise Grande Fratello.
Big Brother VIP 2021, also known as Big Brother VIP 1 was the first season of Big Brother VIP, hosted by Arbana Osmani. The season began airing on 5 October 2021 on Top Channel, and ended after 137 days on 18 February 2022. The viewers can watch for the whole season live from the house in two live pay-per-view channels, with the name Big Brother VIP 1 and Big Brother VIP 2, which are available on Albanian TV platform DigitAlb. The two opinionists in the live evictions shows, were Arbër Hajdari and Balina Bodinaku. Dojna Mema hosted the spin-off show Big Brother VIP – Fans' Club and Iva Tiço was the opinionist. One week after the final of the show, was broadcast a reunion show, with the name Post Big Brother VIP. The three episodes were broadcast on 22 February, 25 February and 1 March 2022. The show was hosted by Arbana Osmani, and the two opinionists were Arbër Hajdari and Balina Bodinaku.
Big Brother VIP 2022, also known as Big Brother VIP 2, was the second season of Big Brother VIP, hosted by Arbana Osmani. The season started airing on 24 December 2022 on Top Channel, and ended after 134 days on 6 May 2023. The whole season, live from the house, the viewers viewed in two live pay-per-view channels, with the name Big Brother VIP 1 and Big Brother VIP 2, which were available on Albanian television platform DigitAlb. Arbër Hajdari returned as opinionist in the live evictions shows and was joined by Zhaklin Lekatari, replacing Balina Bodinaku. Megi Pojani hosted the spin-off show Big Brother VIP – Fans' Club, replacing Dojna Mema. Ardit Cuni was the new opinionist for the spin-off show Fans' Club. A 60-minute radio show Big Brother Radio was introduced this season, with Elona Duro as the host. Like in the first season, one week after the final of the show, was broadcast a reunion show, with the name Post Big Brother VIP. This season the show was broadcast only for two episodes and the two episodes were broadcast on 13 May 2023 and 20 May 2023. The show was hosted by Arbana Osmani, and the two opinionists were Arbër Hajdari and Zhaklin Lekatari.
