Big Brother 4 was the fourth season of the reality show Big Brother in Bulgaria. [1] It was aired on Nova Television and Nova+. The show launched on 22 September 2008 and continued for 3 months (12 weeks), ended on 14 December 2008, lasted for total of 84 days which is the shortest regular Big Brother season so far in Bulgaria.
The prize was 300,000 leva, which was the highest in the history of Big Brother Bulgaria . Milen Tsvetkov was the host of the show.
Former VIP Brother 2 housemate Veneta Raykova was the host of a new late-night talk-show called Little Sister. Rumen Lukanov was the host of the interactive part of the show.
The show was aired at 20:00 from Monday to Saturday. Weekly live shows are on Monday and Thursday. And after 22:30 on Sunday. Nova+ aired short live stream from the house at 10:00, 13:00, 16:00, 19:00 and 22:30. Replay episodes aired on Nova Television were broadcast at 18:00 the next day. The talk show Little Sister was aired on Monday and Thursday at 23:45.

From 22 June 2008 until 22 July 2008, auditions were held in the ten biggest cities in Bulgaria – Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Rousse, Shumen, Varna, Bourgas, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Blagoevgrad and Sofia. 13,955 candidates in total showed, 2,700 of which were in Sofia. The third and final round of the auditions was held in Sofia from 20 July 208 to 10 August 2008, with 415 candidates.
On 15 September 2008, ten of the selected housemates were isolated in separate secret places. Ten women entered the house on 22 September 2008. Originally, an eleventh housemate – Neli was expected to enter the house. However, she lost consciousness before entering the show and was decided not to take part. Instead, Violeta entered the show the next day.
Eleven men entered the house on Day 4. On Day 10, one of them – Tsvetan, was sent into the women's part of the house, and one of the women – Irena, into the men's.
Two new housemates – Ventsislav and Denislav, entered the house on Day 53. Denislav was chosen by the viewers, and Ventsislav – by the female housemates in the house.

Daniela Kostova is from Sofia. She entered the house on Day 1 and finished third in the finale on Day 84.
Denislav Minev is from Shumen. He entered the house on Day 53, after being chosen by the viewers. His girlfriend is the Bulgarian pop-folk singer Sonya Nemska, who was in the house for a few minutes during one of the housemates' week task. He finished fourth in the finale on Day 84.
Emilia Arabadzhieva is from Ruse. She entered the house on Day 1 and was the third evicted on Day 29.
Filip Ralev from Sozopol entered the show on Day 4, posing as the mentally disabled man Toshko from Grudovo. When he entered the studio, the viewers and audience were not told about this, and they only learned the truth about Toshko when Big Brother called him in the Diary Room to confirm his secret mission: to fool all housemates into thinking he really has mental disabilities. He was the thirteenth evicted on Day 64.
Georgi Alurkov is from Sofia. He entered the house on Day 4 and became a winner on Day 84.
Irena Ivanova is from Burgas. She entered the house on Day 1 and was the second evicted on Day 22.
Ivan Gyumishev is from Lom. He entered the house on Day 4 and was the seventh evicted on Day 39.

Neli Hristova is from Plovdiv. She was supposed to enter the house on Day 1, but she lost consciousness just before entering the show. The producers and the medical team decided that it was better not to take part in the show, and became a reserve. However, she entered the house on Day 81 for one night with all ex-housemates from the season.

Samie Dzheferova is from Ruse. She entered the house on Day 1 and was the seventeenth evicted on Day 78.

On Day 81 all ex-housemates from this season entered the house for one night, including Neli, who was supposed to enter the show on Day 1. Meanwhile, the current housemates moved to the airplane wreckage again.

Originally, it was planned either Big Brother 4 or VIP Brother 3 to air in the beginning of 2008. However, the start of a new season has been delayed due to the competition for the building company. Big Brother 4 was recorded in a new house near Sofia in the village of Novi Khan, as the old one has been destroyed.
There was a secret room, two bathrooms and a shop. The total area of the house is 3000 km2. There was a fireplace at the middle of the garden. There was the airplane wrackage, where the housemates lived.
A total of 70 cameras was following the new housemates' every move.
Big Brother is a reality show based on the Big Brother series by Endemol. The show originates from the Netherlands, where in 1999 the first season was aired.
Big Brother 2004, also known as Big Brother 4, was the fourth season of the Australian reality television series Big Brother, and was aired on Network Ten, starting on Sunday 2 May 2004, with the housemates entering the day before, and ended on Monday 26 July 2004, lasting 86 days. The season was billed as "back to basics, but with one small secret". In a return to the basic format of Big Brother 1 and Big Brother 2 that had been eschewed in favour of twists and surprises in Big Brother 3, all housemates were let into the house together and former surprise elements such as swimming pools and gym equipment were all exposed from the beginning.
VIP Brother 1 was the first season of the celebrity version of the Bulgarian reality television show Big Brother. In it, the Housemates are only famous people. The show follows the original Big Brother rules, but with some changes. For example, in VIP Brother, the show's duration is shortened to a month. The nominations and evictions are twice a week.

Originally, the season was planned to air for 11 weeks, 2 weeks shorter than the previous two seasons. However, the season was extended by 7 days and aired for 85 days in total. For the first time, the show was only hosted by Niki Kanchev.
VIP Brother 3 was the third season of the celebrity version of the Bulgarian reality television show Big Brother. It was launched on Nova Television on 16 March 2009, and ended on 10 May 2009 with an eleven-hour season finale starting at 3:00 pm and finishing after 1:00 am.
Big Brother 3 is the third season of the Croatian reality television series Big Brother that premiered on 8 September 2006 and ran for 99 days. The prize is increased from 1 million HRK to 1.5 million HRK, but it is expected that the actual winner would get significantly lower amount due to penalties for various House rule violations. Producers introduced this as a response to criticism of the second season when they were perceived to be too tolerant of contestants' misbehavior.

Big Brother 5, also known as Big Brother: 100% натурален was the fifth season of the Bulgarian reality television series Big Brother, and the fifteenth season of the format overall. The series launched on Nova Television on 17 August 2015, seven years after the last regular season of the format since Big Brother 4.
VIP Brother 4, also referred to as VIP Brother 2012 was the fourth season of the reality show VIP Brother in Bulgaria and the ninth season of the Big Brother format overall. It commenced on Nova Television on September 16, 2012, and lasted for two months, ending on November 17, 2012. It was immediately followed by an All-Stars edition. It was the first season to air more than two years after the family edition and more than three years after the third celebrity edition. Niki Kanchev returned as the show's main presenter for the Live shows on Monday on Wednesday, with Aleksandra Sarchadjieva being the presenter for the daily episodes.
Big Brother All-Stars was the first season of the all-star spin-off of Big Brother and the tenth season of the Big Brother format in Bulgaria overall and featured housemates from previous seasons of the show, as well as from other reality formats such as Music Idol, Survivor and X Factor. The all-star edition commenced on 19 November 2012 on Nova Television right after the fourth-season finale of VIP Brother and lasted for a total of 29 days, ended on 17 December 2012. Together with VIP Brother 1 it holds the record for shortest season of the format in Bulgaria so far. Nikola Nasteski "Lester" won with Nayden Naydenov "Ned" as the runner-up.
VIP Brother 5, also referred to as VIP Brother 2013 was the fifth season of the reality show VIP Brother in Bulgaria and the eleventh season of the Big Brother format overall. It was confirmed by Nova Television on June 26, 2013, and commenced on September 15, 2013, and lasted for 63 days, ended on November 16, 2013, holding the record for longest VIP season of the Big Brother format in Bulgaria together with the fourth season from 2012. Niki Kanchev and Aleksandra Sarchadjieva returned as main presenters. Stanka Zlateva won with Marian Kyurpanov as the runner-up.
VIP Brother 6, also known as VIP Brother: Образцов дом was the sixth season of the reality show VIP Brother in Bulgaria and the thirteenth season of the Big Brother format overall. The promo for the new season began airing on Nova Television on July 25, 2014. The show commenced on September 15, 2014. Niki Kanchev and Aleksandra Sarchadjieva returned as main presenters.
VIP Brother 7, also known as VIP Brother: 100% напудрен was the seventh season of the Bulgarian reality television series VIP Brother, hosted by Niki Kanchev. The show launched on 13 September 2015 on Nova TV. Niki Kanchev and Aleksandra Sarchadjieva were the main presenters. It concluded 62 days later on 13 November 2015. Georgi "Gino" Tashev won with Ernestina Shinova as the runner-up.
VIP Brother 9, also known as Любовта е във VIP Brother was ninth season of the Bulgarian reality television series VIP Brother, hosted by Niki Kanchev. The show launched on 11 September 2017 on Nova TV. Niki Kanchev, Aleksandra Sarchadjieva and Miglena Angelova are the main presenters. It concluded 61 days later on 10 November 2017. Yonislav Yotov "Toto" won with Margarita Hranova as the runner-up.
VIP Brother 10, also known as VIP Brother: Женско царство was the tenth season of the Bulgarian reality television series VIP Brother. The show launched on 10 September 2018 on Nova TV and concluded 54 days later, on 2 November 2018. Atanas Kolev won, while Konstantin Trendafilov "Papi Hans" was the runner-up. Niki Kanchev, Aleksandra Sarchadjieva and Azis were the main presenters.
Big Brother: Most Wanted 2018, also known as Big Brother All Stars 2018 was the sixth season of the all-star spin-off of Big Brother and the twentieth-second season of the format in Bulgaria overall. It was announced on October 19, 2018. Followed the same air schedule as in previous years, it commenced on Nova Television on 5 November 2018, immediately after the VIP Brother 10 finale and lasted for a month, ending on 10 December 2018. It featured housemates from previous seasons of the show, as well as participants from other reality formats. Stefan "Wosh MC" Ivanov won with Dzhuliana Gani as the runner-up.
Big Brother 6 is sixth season of the Bulgarian reality television series Big Brother, and the twenty-third season of the format overall. The series launch on Nova Television on 8 October 2024, nine years after the last regular season of the format since Big Brother 5 and six years after Big Brother: Most Wanted 2018.
