Big Brother South Africa: Beke Le Beke (also known as Big Brother Mzansi 3 or Big Brother South Africa 5) is the third season of the South African Big Brother reality television reboot series produced by Banijay and Red Pepper Pictures for M-Net and Mzansi Magic. [1] It returned after a six-year hiatus and marked 20 years since the Big Brother brand launched in South Africa.
The Sponsor of the show for this season was Lottostar. While the associative sponsor was Johnnie Walker
The show premiered on 23 January 2022 on Mzansi Magic and DStv with 24 contestants initially and a new host, Lawrence Maleka. [2] A week later, two more contestants were introduced to the house. [3]
On 3 April, Mphowabadimo was declared the winner of the third season of Big Brother Mzansi and received R2 million, while Gash1 was the runner-up. [4] [5]
The first evening (23 January) introduced 18 housemates, equally split between male and female. [6] After only three days in the house, QV decided to withdraw from the competition for mental health reasons. [7] On 30 January, instead of an eviction, Vyno and Nthabii were added to the house. [3]

Big Brother is a reality competition television franchise created by John de Mol Jr., first broadcast in the Netherlands in 1999 and subsequently syndicated internationally. The show features contestants called "housemates" or "HouseGuests" who live together in a specially constructed house that is isolated from the outside world. The name is inspired by Big Brother from George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, and the housemates are continuously monitored during their stay in the house by live television cameras as well as personal audio microphones. Throughout the course of the competition, they are voted out until only one remains and wins the cash prize.
Big Brother South Africa, formerly known as Big Brother Mzansi, is a television series in South Africa produced by M-Net and Endemol. As of 2023, it has had a total of six seasons. Big Brother South Africa had four seasons, and a celebrity season in between. The first season aired in 2001 and the second in 2002. Four seasons were directed by Leon Coetzer and hosted by Mark Pilgrim.

Big Brother Titans is the joint South African and Nigerian edition of the Big Brother franchise. The theme for the first season was "Ziyakhala Wahala". The series follows contestants as they live in an isolated house and compete for a cash prize at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted from the house by the viewers who vote on their favourite housemates to stay on the show. The show features housemates from South Africa and Nigeria.
