Big Brother Mzansi: Umlilo (also known as Big Brother Mzansi 5 or Big Brother South Africa 7) is the fifth season of the South African Big Brother reality television reboot series produced by Banijay and Red Pepper Pictures for M-Net and Mzansi Magic. It premiered on 12 January 2025 on DStv channel 198. [1]
The fifth season's headline sponsor continues to be LottoStar, wile the tactical partner is Robertson Spices and the alcohol sponsor is Chillers Punch.

Big Brother is a reality competition television franchise created by John de Mol Jr., first broadcast in the Netherlands in 1999 and subsequently syndicated internationally. The show features contestants called "housemates" or "HouseGuests" who live together in a specially constructed house that is isolated from the outside world. The name is inspired by Big Brother from George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, and the housemates are continuously monitored during their stay in the house by live television cameras as well as personal audio microphones. Throughout the course of the competition, they are voted out of the house until only one remains and wins the cash prize.
Big Brother Brasil is the Brazilian version of the Big Brother reality franchised television show based on the original Dutch television series of the same name, that was created in 1997 by John de Mol Jr.. It is the second one with more finished seasons and the only one with more than 20 years of uninterrupted annual transmission in the same channel.

Big Brother Brasil 25 is the twenty-fifth season of the Brazilian reality showBig Brother Brasil, which premieres on January 13, 2025 on TV Globo. This season will continue to be hosted by journalist Tadeu Schmidt, with Rodrigo Dourado taking over as executive producer, replacing Boninho.
