William Henry Moore (16 October 1863 –25 February 1956) was an Australian cricketer who represented both New South Wales and Western Australia at first-class level.
From Maitland,New South Wales,Moore came from a large cricketing family,with his father,uncle,brother,and two of his nephews all playing first-class cricket for New South Wales. One of his nephews was Charlie Macartney,who later played Test cricket for the Australian national cricket team. [1] Moore played all four matches for New South Wales in the 1893–94 Sheffield Shield,playing as a wicket-keeper. The second of these matches,against South Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground,was played alongside his brother,Leon Moore,the only time the brothers played together at first-class level. [2]
Batting right-handed,Moore's highest first-class score,31 not out,was made in the return match against South Australia,at the Adelaide Oval. [3] Later in the 1890s,Moore moved to Fremantle,Western Australia,and captained Western Australia in a match against South Australia in April 1899,held at the WACA Ground. [4] Having also played grade cricket for Fremantle teams,he later returned to New South Wales,where he died in Lane Cove,a suburb of Sydney,on 25 February 1956. [5] [6]

In January 2019,he made his Test debut for Australia against Sri Lanka,becoming the 457th person to play test cricket for Australia. He made a century in just his second test match in Canberra,also against Sri Lanka. He was not selected for the 2019 Ashes series and returned to play domestically in the 2019/2020 season. He has the highest average of any Test batsman who has lost their wicket at least once.

Irvine did not play in any of the Test matches on tour,and played only one further season at state level.
Michael John Cox is a former Australian cricketer who played several matches for Western Australia during the mid-1980s. Born in Newcastle,Cox grew up in New South Wales,where he attended Maitland Boys High School and captained the school's cricket team. Having played for local teams in Maitland and Newcastle,he was selected for several regional representative sides before moving to Sydney where he played with Gordon in the Sydney grade cricket competition. Although Cox played several times at colts level,he was never selected for the New South Wales state team and eventually moved to Western Australia to further his opportunities. His only matches at state level came during the 1985–86 and 1986–87 seasons,when Western Australia's usual wicket-keeper,Tim Zoehrer,was unavailable due to national selection. Cox achieved moderate success in both Sheffield Shield and McDonald's Cup matches,but was dropped when after Zoehrer's return.
