Billy Bowman Jr. (born January 29, 2003) is an American football safety for the Oklahoma Sooners.

Early life and high school

Bowman Jr. attended Billy Ryan High School in Denton, Texas. [1] He played defensive back and wide receiver in high school. As a senior, he had 86 receptions for 1,207 yards and 15 touchdowns. [2] He was selected to play in the 2021 Under Armour All-America Game. Bowman Jr. originally committed to play college football at the University of Texas at Austin before switching to the University of Oklahoma. [3] [4] [5]

College career

As a true freshman at Oklahoma in 2021, Bowman Jr. started seven of 11 games and had 22 tackles. [6] As a sophomore in 2022, he played in 11 games with nine starts and recorded 60 tackles and three interceptions. He returned to Oklahoma as a starter in 2023. [7]
