Lenny Krieg (born 5 August 2002) is a German American football player who played as a kicker for the Stuttgart Surge between 2023 and 2024. He joined the NFL's International Player Pathway scheme in 2025.
From Berlin, he was a soccer player before becoming a kicker in American football. He taught himself how to kick an American football via YouTube tutorials and Instagram, searching "how to kick a field goal", after his older brother returned from University in Wisconsin enthusing about the game. [2]
He played for Berlin Adler U19 team from 2020 to 2021 for a season and after a successful debut in which he became North German champion of the GFL Juniors in 2021, he moved up to and made the jump to the senior team in 2022. There he was immediately voted the Berlin Adler's Rookie of the Year. In 2023, he joined the European League of Football to play for Stuttgart Surge. In the 2023 regular season, Krieg converted eight out of ten field goal attempts, and re-signed for the 2024 season. [3] [4]
In February 2025, he participated in the NFL Combine after joining the NFL's International Player Pathway scheme. [5] He had a perfect performance on the field at the combine, as he converted all 14 field goal attempts (from 25-30-35-40-45-50-55 yards, each from the left and right) without a single missed shot, the only one of 12 kickers to do so.
