Jack Nelson is an American college football offensive tackle for the Wisconsin Badgers.
Nelson attended high school at Stoughton. Coming out of high school, Nelson was rated as a five-star recruit where he decided to commit to play college football for the Wisconsin Badgers. [1] [2]
During Nelson's first collegiate season in 2020, Nelson decided to use the season to redshirt and appeared in one game against Michigan. [3] During the 2021 season, Nelson started all 13 games for the Badgers at right guard. [4] For his performance on the 2021 season, Nelson was named a honorable mention all-Big Ten selection. [5] During the 2022 season, Nelson played in and started all 12 games at left tackle for Wisconsin. [6] In the 2023 season, Nelson started all 13 games for the Badgers at left tackle. [7]
Nelson's father Todd played as an offensive tackle for the Wisconsin Badgers, and his younger brother Barrett is also an offensive tackle for Wisconsin. [8]
James Andrew Leonhard is an American football coach and former player who is currently a defensive backs coach and pass game coordinator for the Denver Broncos. Leonhard played college football at Wisconsin and professionally as safety for ten seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Leonhard was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2005 after playing college football at the University of Wisconsin. He also played for the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, and Cleveland Browns.
Joseph Hayden Thomas is an American former professional football player who was an offensive tackle for 11 seasons with the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Wisconsin, earned unanimous All-American honors, and was recognized as the top college interior lineman. The Browns chose Thomas with the third overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft. He was invited to the Pro Bowl in each of his first 10 seasons and did not miss a single play in his career until the 2017 season ; his 10,363 consecutive snaps played is the longest streak since the NFL began recording snap counts in 1999. He is regarded as one of the best offensive linemen of all time. In 2023, Thomas was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility, becoming the first Cleveland Brown inductee since their reactivation in 1999.
Gabriel Andrew Carimi is an American former professional football player who was a guard in the National Football League (NFL). Carimi had 49 starts at left tackle in his four-year Wisconsin Badgers college career, which culminated at the 2011 Rose Bowl. He was awarded the 2010 Outland Trophy, as the nation's top collegiate interior lineman. He was also a unanimous All-American, and the Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Michael Kitome Echols is a former American football cornerback who played in both the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was selected in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL draft by the Tennessee Titans. He played collegiately for the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Ryan Mack Ramczyk is an American professional football offensive tackle for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL).
