Blake Govers (born 6 July 1996) is an Australian field hockey player who plays as a forward for the NSW Pride in the Hockey One League and the Australian national team.
He is the younger brother of former international hockey player Kieran Govers. He coaches a group of young female athletes at the Southern River Hockey Club, based in the south of Perth, WA.
He competed in the men's field hockey tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics [1] and in the 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup. At the 2018 World Cup he was the joint-topscorer with seven goals. [2] He was the topscorer of the 2019 FIH Pro League as he scored 12 goals in 14 matches for Australia. [3] In December 2019, he was nominated for the FIH Rising Star of the Year Award. [4]
Govers was selected in the Kookaburras Olympics squad for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The team reached the final for the first time since 2004 but couldn't achieve gold, beaten by Belgium in a shootout. [5]
During the 2014–15 season, Govers played for Wimbledon in England, where he scored five goals in the championship final. [6] He also played in the Netherlands for Bloemendaal in the 2016–17 season. [7]

The Australia men's national field hockey team is one of the nation's most successful top-level sporting teams. They are the only Australian team in any sport to receive medals at six straight Summer Olympic Games (1992–2012). The Kookaburras placed in the top four in every Olympics between 1980 and 2012 winning gold in 2004; in 2016, the Kookaburras placed sixth. They won the Hockey World Cup in 1986, 2010 and 2014. They won the Hockey Champions Trophy 15 times, the most by any team. They also won the Pro League and World League twice each.
The Australia women's national field hockey team are, as of August 2023, ranked second in the world. Having played their first game in 1914, and their first Olympic game in 1984, they are one of Australia's most successful sporting teams, boasting three Olympic gold medals, two World Cup gold medals and four Commonwealth Games gold medals. The Hockeyroos have been crowned Australia's Team of the Year five times and were unanimously awarded Best Australian Team at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
Graham John Reid is a former Australian field hockey player who played as a defender and midfielder for the Australian national team. He managed the Indian men's national team that won a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
The Indian women's national field hockey team represents India in international field hockey, and is governed by Hockey India. Nabhvarna are currently ranked 9th in the FIH World Rankings, and are ranked as the second best team in Asia. They have won the gold medals at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and 1982 Asian Games. They have also won the Women's Asia Cup twice, i.e. in 2004 and 2017. They also won the Asian Champions Trophy 2016 and 2023.
Kieran Govers is an Australian field hockey player. He plays field hockey professionally in Germany. He plays for the NSW Waratahs in the Australian Hockey League. He first represented Australia in 2010. He won a gold medal at the 2010 Men's Hockey World Cup, at the 2010 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy and the 2014 Commonwealth Games. He won a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Govers currently serves as the Chairperson of Illawarra South Coast Hockey Inc.

Rupinder Pal Singh is an Indian former field hockey player, who represented the India national field hockey team. He plays as a fullback and is known for his abilities as one of the best drag flickers in the world. He represented India in the 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow, 2014 Asian Games at Incheon, 2016 Olympic Games held at Rio de Janeiro, and at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, held at Gold Coast, Australia. He was part of the Indian hockey team that won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Harmanpreet Singh is an Indian field hockey player as well as the captain of the Indian national hockey team. He plays as a defender, is a penalty corner specialist, and is regarded as one of the best drag flickers in the world. He has scored the most number of international goals for India in modern day hockey. He led the team to clinch the bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This was his second bronze in three appearances at the Olympics. Singh also captained the team to win a gold at the 2022 Asian Games. He has won the Player of the Year title at the FIH Awards twice.
