Bliss was a British music television channel owned and operated by the CSC Media Group, formerly known as Chart Show Channels.
Bliss was launched in March 2006, replacing The Amp. The channel was owned by British Sky Broadcasting and along with its sister channels Flaunt and Scuzz, which were operated by Chart Show Channels.
The channel was advertised with the tagline of "Total Chill-out Classics". The channel played classic pop songs and music from the 1970s to 1990s, with love songs and power ballads. Every day from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, there was a weekly themed slot, such as Blissful Divas, female artists, or Bliss at The Movies. These themed slots changed every Monday.
The Bliss logo was a gold color with a shine effect moving across it every few seconds. The logo was placed in the bottom left-hand corner during music videos, and the song information was shown in a gold-colored bar at the start and near the end of each music video. The channel's identity was also seen before and after advertisement breaks, when the Bliss logo would slowly come out of an opening flower.[ citation needed ]
Sky announced in November 2006 that their music channels would go free-to-air, beginning on 11 December 2006, and soon afterwards, Sky transitioned full ownership to Chart Show Channels in December 2006.[ citation needed ] Previously, Bliss and its sister channels were encrypted in NDS from its launch, and broadcasting on the Eutelsat 28A communications satellite.
On 6 November 2007, Bliss and its sister channels were removed from the ex-NTL Virgin Media areas, following a failure of an agreement from Chart Show Channels for the networks to be made available in ex-Telewest areas and Virgin Media focusing more on their free on-demand services. [1]
On 3 March 2008, the Bliss website launched.
On 12 May 2008, a timeshift channel called Bliss +1 was launched. It was available 24 hours a day on Sky Channel 363. On 2 June 2008, Bliss +1 was closed to make way for a 24-hour stream for AnimeCentral.
In late 2008, its logo changed to plain white lettering with 'BLISS' in capitals.
On 1 February 2011, Bliss launched Freesat on Channel 517. It moved to Channel 506 on 13 September 2012. It was removed along with Flava on 21 July 2014.
Throughout November and December of 2013, Bliss became "Blissmas", a Christmas music channel playing Christmas music 24/7. Bliss programming changed between 10 and 20 November, with the exception of two years, when it started on 6 November and then on 1 November.[ citation needed ]
Bliss was shut down on 27 November 2015, after nine years, while in the middle of its annual run as Blissmas. In 2018, Christmas music moved to its sister music channel, Chart Show Hits (called Chart Show Dance at time of closure).[ citation needed ]

C4 was a New Zealand television channel owned and operated by MediaWorks New Zealand. C4 was available on both digital terrestrial and satellite platforms and played music around the clock, including music from C4's sister radio division from The Rock, The Edge, The Breeze, More FM, George FM, Mai FM & The Sound. C4 also aired a lot of speciality music shows such as HomeGrown, Top 10/100, Video Hits, Fade To Black, Steel Mill, the UChoose40 and the Biggest Records Right Now. The channel was originally launched on Friday 3 October 2003 at 08:00pm as a re-branding of TV4 which had been broadcasting since 1997. On 1 May 2010, as C4 had been moving away from music programming since 2008, the jukebox side was split off and C4 launched a second C4 channel on Channel 9 called C4 2. C4 2 was only available on digital Freeview terrestrial and satellite platforms. At the end of 2010 an announcement was made that MediaWorks would again re-brand the current C4 channel as FOUR, which meant C4 2 would be converted to a music show as C4 was moved to its Channel 9 position. C4 shut down on Thursday 26 June 2014 at 01:00 am. It was replaced by The Edge TV the next day on Friday 27 June 2014 at 04:00 pm.
More4 is a British free-to-air television channel, owned by Channel Four Television Corporation. The channel launched on 10 October 2005. Its programming mainly focuses on lifestyle and documentaries, as well as foreign dramas.
Tiny Pop is a British free-to-air children's television channel in the United Kingdom, owned by Narrative Entertainment UK Limited. Broadcast on many of the major digital television platforms in the UK, Tiny Pop, which was launched on 8 September 2003 as Pop Plus, and shows, its target audience is children aged 7 and under. The station broadcasts principally animated content sourced from various distributors.
Scuzz was a British 24-hour rock and metal music television channel owned and operated by Sony Pictures Television. It was launched on 17 April 2003 and went on to be the highest-rated rock TV station on the Sky satellite platform, available in over 12 million homes in the UK and Ireland. The channel was abruptly closed on 15 November 2018.

Nick Jr. is a British pay television channel owned and operated by Paramount Networks UK & Australia. The channel is aimed at preschool children.
Flava was a British hip-hop music television channel owned and operated by Sony Pictures Television.
Channel One was a British television channel owned and operated by Living TV Group. The channel was launched on 1 October 2007 at 21:00 on Freeview, Virgin Media and Sky as Virgin1, replacing Ftn. The channel broadcast 24 hours on cable, satellite and Freeview; a one-hour time-shift, Channel One +1, broadcast on cable and satellite.
