Elections for all positions in the Philippines above the barangay were held on May 10, 2010. The elected president is Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino, the 15th President of the Philippines, succeeding President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo who was barred from seeking re-election due to term restrictions. The successor of vice-president Noli de Castro is Jejomar Binay, the 15th vice president of the Philippines. The legislators elected in the 2010 elections have joined the senators of the 2007 elections and comprise the 15th Congress of the Philippines.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan, commonly known as the Provincial Board, is the Filipino language name given to the legislatures in Philippine provinces. They are the legislative branch of the province and their powers and responsibilities are defined by the Local Government Code of 1991. Along with the provincial governor, the executive branch of the province, they form the province's government.
The administration Lakas-Kampi-CMD [2] bets for the top provincial posts made a sweeping victory in all the three congressional districts as the first automated elections drew the final results. Edgardo Chatto and his running mate, former provincial board member Concepcion Lim, won with a remarkable margins over rivals. The three congressional seats in the province were also won by Lakas-Kampi-CMD candidates, namely former Gov. Rene Relampagos for the first district, Gov. Erico Aumentado for the second district and former Department of Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap for the third district. [3]

Rene Lopez Relampagos is a Filipino politician. He is currently a member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines. He is on his first term as representative of the first legislative district of Bohol, Philippines, being elected congressman in the 2010 elections.
Erico Boyles Aumentado was a former governor, vice governor, and senior provincial board member of Bohol, and congressman and deputy speaker of the Philippine House of Representatives. He is the only governor of Bohol who served for three consecutive terms (2001-2010).
The candidates for governor [4] and vice governor with the highest amount of votes wins the seat. They are voted separately, and therefore may be from different parties when elected.

Each of Bohol's three legislative districts had elections for the House of Representatives. The candidate with the highest number of votes wins the seat.
The Legislative Districts of Bohol, namely the first, second and third districts, are the representations of the Province of Bohol in the Philippine House of Representatives. Bohol had been divided into three congressional districts since 1907, although the district configurations were altered with the restoration of the House of Representatives in 1987. It was part of the representation of Region VII from 1978 to 1984, and from 1984 to 1986 it elected 3 assemblymen at-large.
The House of Representatives of the Philippines, is the lower house of the Congress of the Philippines. It is often commonly referred to as Congress and informally referred to as Camara or Kamara. Members of the House are officially styled as representative (Kinatawan) and sometimes informally called Congressmen/Congresswomen and are elected to a three-year term. They can be re-elected, but cannot serve more than three consecutive terms. Around eighty percent of congressmen are district representatives, representing a particular geographical area. There are 234 legislative districts in the country, each composed of about 250,000 people. There are also party-list representatives elected through the party-list system who constitute not more than twenty percent of the total number of representatives.
Edgar M. Chatto (Lakas-Kampi-CMD) was the incumbent, but ineligible for re-election because he was already in his third consecutive term. Former governor Rene Relampagos ran in his place under the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino, and Lakas-Kampi-CMD also supported his candidacy. [5]
The Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino is a political party in the Philippines founded on September 16, 1988.

Roberto Cajes was the incumbent, but ineligible for re-election since he was already in his third consecutive term. Lakas-Kampi-CMD initially nominated Erico B. Aumentado as their candidate, but Aumentado was expelled from the party because of his alleged association with Manny Villar, the presidential nominee of the rival Nacionalista Party. Lakas-Kampi-CMD then sent a certificate of nomination to incumbent congressman Cajes' wife Judith. [6]
Roberto C. Cajes is a Filipino politician. A member of the Lakas-CMD Party, he has been elected to three terms as a Member of the House of Representatives, representing the Second District of Bohol. He first won election to Congress in 2001, and was re-elected in 2004 and 2007. His daughter is Jane Censoria Cajes Yap.
The Nacionalista Party is the oldest political party in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia responsible for leading the country throughout the majority of the 20th century since its founding in 1907, being the ruling party from 1935 to 1944, 1944–1946, 1953–1957, 1957–1961 and 1965–1972.
