Brachinus psophia is a species of ground beetle from the subfamily Brachininae. [1] It is widely distributed in the southern half of Europe [1] (including Bulgaria, [2] Greece, Italy, [3] [4] Romania, [5] Albania, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia, Ukraine, all states of former Yugoslavia (except for North Macedonia), and in Western Europe). It can also be found on such European islands as Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily, and on the island of Cyprus in Asia. The species is identical in colour to the following species from the same genera: Brachinus crepitans, Brachinus efflans, and Brachinus ejaculans.

Harpalus neglectus is a species of ground beetle native to Europe, where it can be found in such territories as Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain including the Isle of Man, Ireland, Italy, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Sardinia, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and Ukraine. It is doubtful that the beetle exists in Austria, Slovakia and Switzerland. It is also found in such African countries as Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia.

Harpalus modestus is a species of black coloured ground beetle that can be found in such European countries as Andorra, Austria, Baltic states, Benelux, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland, Ukraine, all states of former Yugoslavia, and central part of Russia. Its existence in Spain and on Alboran island is doubtful. It can also be found in Japan, North and South Korea, and Chinese provinces such as Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Qinghai, Shanxi, and Sichuan.

Calathus distinguendus is a species of ground beetle from the Platyninae subfamily that can be found in Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Voivodina, southern part of Russia and European part of Turkey. It is also found in Georgia, Asia Minor, Caucasus, and Crimea. It have 1 millimetre (0.039 in) long genitalia.
