Brazil competed at the Deaflympics for the first time in 1993. Since then Brazil has been regularly participating at the Deaflympics. Brazil won its first Deaflympics medal in 2009. [1] Brazil has competed for the first time at Winter Deaflympics on the 2019 Winter Games at the Sondrio Province in Italy.

The Deaflympics also known as Deaflympiad are a periodic series of multi-sport events sanctioned by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at which Deaf athletes compete at an elite level. Unlike the athletes in other IOC-sanctioned events, athletes cannot be guided by sounds. The games have been organized by the Comité International des Sports des Sourds since the first event in 1924.
Spain competed at the inaugural edition of the Deaflympics in 1957. But they did not participate in a Deaflympics competition until 1973. Since then Spain has been regularly participating at the Deaflympics. Spain won its first Deaflympics medal way back in 1981.
Argentina completed at the Deaflympics for the first time in 1965. Since then Argentina has been regularly participating at the Deaflympics. Argentina won its first Deaflympics medal in 1965. Argentina has never competed at the Winter Deaflympics.
Greece competed at the Deaflympics for the first time in 1957. Greece won its first Deaflympics medal in 1993. Greece has never competed at the Winter Deaflympics.
Iceland competed at the Deaflympics for the first time in 1993 and also bagged their first medal at the Deaflympics, which is also Iceland's only medal in Deaflympics history. Iceland also competed in the 1997, 2005 and 2013 Deaflympic events.
Kazakhstan first competed at the Deaflympics for the first time in 1997. Kazakhstan claimed their first Deaflympic medal in their first Deaflympic experience and finished with 2 medals in the event. So far, Kazakhstan has managed to bag 8 medals in the event's history.
Belarus participated at the Deaflympics from 1993 until it was banned in 2022, and won 87 medals. After the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) banned athletes from Belarus from that year's Deaflympics in Caxias do Sul, Brazil.
Denmark has been participating at the Deaflympics since 1931 and has earned a total of 139 medals.
Slovenia first competed at the Deaflympics for the first time in 1993. Since then, Slovenia has been regularly participating in the Summer Deaflympics. Slovenia won its first Deaflympic medal in the 1993 Summer Deaflympics.

Saudi Arabia first competed at the Deaflympics for the first time in 2001. Saudi Arabia won its first Deaflympic medal (bronze) in the 2009 Summer Deaflympics for bowling, which is also the only medal won by them in Deaflympic history.
Russia participated at the Deaflympics after making its debut in 1993, until it was banned in 2022. Russia is just behind United States for winning the most medals in Deaflympics history. In the 2017 Summer Deaflympics held in Turkey, Russia was the medal topper with a record haul of 199 medals. Malaysia first competed at the Deaflympics for the first time in 1993. Since then, Malaysia has competed at the Summer Deaflympics on four occasions. Malaysia won its first Deaflympic medal also during its maiden appearance at the 1993 Summer Deaflympics. Malaysia also narrowly missed the opportunity to compete at the 2013 Summer Deaflympics after being not readied to take part at the event.
Czech Republic which was formerly a part of Czechoslovakia, first competed at the Deaflympics, as an independent nation in 1993. But in 1993, coincidentally Czechoslovakia competed in its last Deaflympic event. Prior to the Dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993, Czech athletes went on to compete at the Deaflympics from 1928 to 1993 for Czechoslovakia.

The Soviet Union competed at the Deaflympics for the first time in 1957. Soviet Union competed at each editions of the Summer Deaflympics from 1957 to 1989 except for the 1985 Summer Deaflympics until the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Soviet Union has won medals in every editions of the Summer Deaflympics it has competed and it is considered one of the greatest nations to have participated at the Deaflympics after earning a medal haul of 524 at the Summer Deaflympics.
Turkmenistan first competed at the Summer Deaflympics in 2001. The country also competed at the Summer Deaflympics in 2005, 2013 and 2017.
Zambia first competed at the Summer Deaflympics in 2013. The country also competed at the 2017 Summer Deaflympics held in Samsun, Turkey.
