Brazil has participated at every edition of the Youth Olympic Games since the inaugural summer edition in 2010. As of 2020 [update] Brazil is ranked 17th on the Summer Games all-time medal table and the country has a bronze medal at the Winter Youth Olympics. [1] [2]

Daniele Matias Hypólito is a Brazilian gymnast who competed at the 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and the 2016 Olympic Games. Hypólito is the first gymnast from Brazil to win a medal at the World Championships, a silver in floor exercise in 2001. She is also the nine-time senior all-around Brazilian national champion in artistic gymnastics, 2002 South American Games all-around champion and 2003 Pan American Games all-around bronze medalist. To date, Hypólito has won the Brazilian National Championships more than ten times; represented Brazil at the World Championships thirteen times, competing in every championship from 1999 to 2015, except in 2009; taken part in every edition of the Olympic Games from 2000 to 2016; and competed at five Pan American Games between 1999 and 2015.
Brazil first participated at the Olympic Games in 1920, after missing the previous five Summer editions. The country has sent athletes to compete in every Summer Olympic Games since then, except for the 1928 Games. As of 2020, Brazilian athletes have won a total of 150 medals in 18 different Summer sports.

Mariana dos Santos Silva is a judoka from Brazil who competes in the women's half-middleweight (-63kg). She won a bronze at the 2015 Pan American Games. That year, she also won gold at the World Military Games. In 2016, she won the Pan American Judo Championships, having won silver in 2011 and 2015, and bronze medals in 2010 and 2012. Previously, she won a bronze medal in the 2009 World Junior Championships. She has appeared at two Olympics for Brazil.

Maria de Lourdes Mazzoleni Portela is a Brazilian middleweight judoka. She won bronze medals at the 2011 and 2015 Pan American Games, and competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. At the 2012 Olympics, she lost her first match to Yuri Alvear. At the 2016 Games, she beat Assmaa Niang in the first round, before losing to Bernadette Graf in the second.
Jaqueline Antonia Ferreira is a Brazilian weightlifter who competes in the −75 kg weight division. She placed eighth at the 2012 Olympics and qualified for the 2016 Rio Games. She won a silver medal in clean and jerk and a bronze in snatch at the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival. She also won a bronze medal at the 2015 Pan American Games.
Fernando Saraiva Reis is a Brazilian weightlifter. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Rio Games, finishing 11th and 5th, respectively. He won a bronze medal in the 2018 World Championships and is a three-time Pan American Games champion.
Brazil competed in the 2015 Pan American Games in Hamilton, Canada from July 10 to 26, 2015. The Brazilian Olympic Committee selected a team of 590 athletes, 314 men and 276 women. This is the 17th appearance of the country in the Pan American Games. The goal of the Brazilian Olympic Committee is to finish among top 3 countries on total medals, as part of preparations for the 2016 Summer Olympics, in Rio de Janeiro, and to surpass the number of medals of Guadalajara (141). Women's field hockey, baseball, racquetball and speed skating competitions will be the only sports without Brazilian representation at these games.

She qualified in both events for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Edson Isaías Freitas da Silva is a Brazilian canoeist who won a gold, a silver and a bronze medal in different events at the Pan American Games in 2007 and 2015. He competed in the K-1 200 metres and K-2 200 metres events at the 2016 Summer Olympics, but failed to reach the finals.
Bruna Yumi Takahashi is a Brazilian table tennis player. She represented Brazil at the Summer Olympics two times since 2016. She is one of the best Latin American players in the ITTF world ranking, after Puerto Rico's Adriana Diaz. Her sister Giulia Takahashi also plays table tennis.

Handball competitions at the 2023 Pan American Games are scheduled to be held from October 24 to November 4, 2023. The venue for the competition is the Gimnasio Polideportivo located in Viña del Mar.
